thought it would be a total waste of an episode

Yeah, took me a few minutes to acclimate, but it ended up being really good. And then the two bigger arc episodes were fantastic. Not a lot of totally lol jokes, but plenty of warm and fuzzy.

Choad of Choad Hall (kingfish), Friday, 18 May 2012 03:35 (fourteen years ago)

It might have been my SSRI withdrawal, but I began to well up a few times in that last hour.

Fas Ro Duh (Gukbe), Friday, 18 May 2012 03:39 (fourteen years ago)

those were great. right up there with remedial chaos theory, documentary filmmaking: redux and virtual systems analysis as best-of-the-season/series.

finale finale was a bit weaker than the first two but still great.

twinkin' and drinkin' and ready to fly (Alex in Montreal), Friday, 18 May 2012 04:45 (fourteen years ago)

I thought the finale finale was great! Evil Abed ripping apart Britta was stone cold, and his saunter through the halls with the cigarette was fantastic.

Fas Ro Duh (Gukbe), Friday, 18 May 2012 04:46 (fourteen years ago)

and the Britta dinosaur callback!

Nhex, Friday, 18 May 2012 04:50 (fourteen years ago)

oh, finale finale was great - just wasn't as laugh a minute for me as the first two. it brought the feelings. which are also important for community.

choice moment of the moment is shirley and annie killing the blacksmith and his wife - NO WITNESSES!

so at the end, were they helping troy move back into the apartment, or was britta moving in with them?

also lol @ starburns disguising his hair but not his sideburns

the minister of RAILWAYS (reddening), Friday, 18 May 2012 07:44 (fourteen years ago)

they were just taking down the dreamatorium, I don't think anyone was moving anywhere.

the girl from spirea x (f. hazel), Friday, 18 May 2012 07:51 (fourteen years ago)

No, there were boxes being carried in there. It just looked like Troy might be getting his own room.

Fas Ro Duh (Gukbe), Friday, 18 May 2012 08:05 (fourteen years ago)

Troy is becoming more responsible, and blanket forts only hold their novelty for so long.

The finale was great -- I think I would have been fine with it being the last ever episode of Community, it would be a good note to go out on.

Respectfully, Tyrese Gibson (Nicole), Friday, 18 May 2012 12:22 (fourteen years ago)

I realized this show is a lot like Venture Bros in the sense that both started out accessible enough but at this point only make their loyal fans even more loyal and nobody else can really knows what's going on.

Evan, Friday, 18 May 2012 15:57 (fourteen years ago)

Video game ep was A+. (Hopefully, the other two will be up soon.)

OMG that videogame episode. Knocked the Claymation ep into a cocked hat.

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Friday, 18 May 2012 21:21 (fourteen years ago)

Goth Britta was hot.

heated debate over derpy hooves (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Friday, 18 May 2012 21:24 (fourteen years ago)

Overall I'd say the finale was a bit weaker than the previous two (I'm assuming the videogame ep was bumped back in the season) but still great. Evil Chang plotline a lot more satisfying than air conditioning repair plotline, if only because I was holding out for more John Goodman.

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Friday, 18 May 2012 21:25 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, I was really dreading the Evil Chang plotline becaue I'd really grown tired of him over the season, but I thought the payoff was actually pretty good.

Jim Rash needs an Emmy to match his Oscar.

heated debate over derpy hooves (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Friday, 18 May 2012 21:26 (fourteen years ago)

evil chang has been great because chang is evil. s2/early s3 chang wasn't evil, just pathetic, thus why he didn't work.

a hoy hoy, Friday, 18 May 2012 21:30 (fourteen years ago)

It might have been my SSRI withdrawal, but I began to well up a few times in that last hour.

God, that's so pathetic. I certainly didn't nearly cry at all. It's these onions.

I'm assuming the videogame ep was bumped back in the season

Well, it took place at some point after they'd become the Greendale Seven, so I bet it was in sequence.

Choad of Choad Hall (kingfish), Saturday, 19 May 2012 00:09 (fourteen years ago)

i got a bit eye-rolly when they did two genre eps in a row, on the same night, not that they could've planned it but come on now, what would whiney think

they were both good eps tho

and i'm glad they actually ended on a conclusion episode instead of a big concept $$ episode. hate when tv shows always end a season without actually ending the season.

also britta and troy are super cute together have to admit

Heist was a genre episode (and a great one -- loved the failed plan that succeeded lampshade). The videogame ep was a gimmick one, but not a genre one, I thought.

s.clover, Saturday, 19 May 2012 01:05 (fourteen years ago)

ok either way

assuming that the closing montage was a wire homage

Clay, Saturday, 19 May 2012 01:43 (fourteen years ago)

because the wire invented closing montages!?

s.clover, Saturday, 19 May 2012 01:47 (fourteen years ago)

They may not have invented them, but slow-motion season-ending montages set to a song is identifiably a Wire dealie.
