70, 64 and 69pts respectively? 67.9pts is the average for 4th-placed finishers over the last ten seasons. Not sure anyone with 69-70pts has ever finished as low as 5th in the Prem era (certainly not in the top-four-into CL era). So, y'know, they weren't poor.

You'd hope Liverpool (and Everton, for that matter - add Jelavic to the first half of 11-12 and where do we finish?) would clock low-mid 60s minimum.

Nelson and Saha might have just arrived but when your club launches a very public internal enquiry into why they bought you, three months after you arrive, you might want to look at other options.

this squad doesn't look entirely balanced to me - strikers very weak. agree, it's not long since we had 'too many strikers' (but wouldn't play Keane).
