Thrift store I volunteer at has repriced the dollar-bin Donna Summer records at like $8-$10 today. Is this despicable/should I say something?

yeah i mean if it's a worthy charity then i wouldn't fault them for it, it's not like donna summer LPs are a rare commodity and if they can squeeze a little more out of the spike in demand then fair is fair. people paying $10 for a dollar record are suckers anyway, and if they cared about Donna Summer on vinyl then they'd already own it. Think of it as a poseur tax.

Almost all the comments on gay blogs focus on the comments she made about AIDS. :(

i mean, i understand your reaction but the primary function of a charity thrift store is to generate income from donated goods, right? it probably feels icky to profit on the death of a musician, tho, i get that. *shrug*

Things I learned today:

- Donna Summer is dead (though I didn't know that she wasn't dead before)

Also: the Croat and I just finished our second meeting. We cuddled last week and had dinner tonight (I had to pick up a friend at the airport). He's exceeded expectations both times. I know he likes me already but the Old Hesitation kicks in, demanding I keep him at a distance.

I was walking home on a quiet residential street late Saturday and said hi to the guy I passed, then a minute later we were making out and such, and then he got a text from his girlfriend who was at home waiting up for him. And such was the sum of my springtime romantic activity. <3
