I am ready to try putting pubes in my ears if I thought it would work.

If Q continues to have ear infections at the rate he's had them so far, we may have to consider tubes in his ears (not ready for the highly experimental pubes approach just yet). I'll take carl's situation into account if and when we need to consider that option.

tbf to my mom, I don't know if tubes would have mattered. I think I basically have the eustachean tubes of a three year old.

Like, it would probably be useful for me to have tubes in my ears now, but I don't know if it would have mattered if I'd had them as a kid.

What do the tubes do? Are they permanent?

They're for drainage and they are supposed to fall out after awhile.
