Rafa holding out for Chelsea iho

Djibril Citté (onimo), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:42 (fourteen years ago)

yah i know deems, but i think yr slip says something about the way successful foreigns are treated as sort of naturalized english

like rafa is the bryan robson or graeme souness of the 10s, he will be linked to every managerial vacancy until he is like 78 yrs old because he won the european cup with liverpool

nakhchivan, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:42 (fourteen years ago)

MON

Could it finally be MON?

pet tommy & the barkhaters (darraghmac), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:43 (fourteen years ago)

can't see rafa coming back. Also don't think it'd really work either. But I am a huge Rafa stan and will probably never be as enthusiastic about a LFC manager again as I was about him. Love you Rafa ;)

O'Neill can Fuck Off btw

pandemic, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:44 (fourteen years ago)

MO'N's been linked with it since his second season at Celtic iirc.

Djibril Citté (onimo), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:44 (fourteen years ago)

iiarc he once took someone to court to prove he didn't want to manage Liverpool.

Djibril Citté (onimo), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:45 (fourteen years ago)

i don't think there are any obviously great upcoming managers who are going to consider liverpool

emery is probably the closest because it's known he wants to manage here at some point, but he can't really speak english

all of the successful foreign managers have spoken at least reasonable english

nakhchivan, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:47 (fourteen years ago)

no odds for guardiola?

Rosie 47 (ken c), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:47 (fourteen years ago)

ferguson?

pet tommy & the barkhaters (darraghmac), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:48 (fourteen years ago)

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:48 (fourteen years ago)

pet tommy & the barkhaters (darraghmac), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:49 (fourteen years ago)

this thread is 366 posts off being the longest ever on ilx fwiw

nakhchivan, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:49 (fourteen years ago)

Guardiola was further down the list but I've just checked and he's only 14/1

Full list here

Djibril Citté (onimo), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:49 (fourteen years ago)

bielsa!

nakhchivan, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:50 (fourteen years ago)

Kenny doing his best to deliver that module at least xps

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:50 (fourteen years ago)

he's already had success in a rainy maritime city with tradition of separatism and long ball football xp

nakhchivan, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:50 (fourteen years ago)

ferguson re: foreigner who's done well without speaking dece english

pet tommy & the barkhaters (darraghmac), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:51 (fourteen years ago)

Carra only 14/1 with Paddy Power

Djibril Citté (onimo), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:51 (fourteen years ago)

Bielsa's a decent shout, but I reckon they'll clear the decks and go for a promising young man - avb and martinez seem likely suspects.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:52 (fourteen years ago)

Nobody knows anything tbh, bookies' lists are only useful as aides mémoires.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:53 (fourteen years ago)

villas boas needs to force the press to get rid of the acronym, buy a proper coat and stop doing that chin massaging gesture while answering questions in a flinty and evasive manner

nakhchivan, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:53 (fourteen years ago)

Nicely done Sammy

"I now hope the Arsenal fans can get on with their lives and forget me, they should celebrate their third-place achievement and I will focus on winning titles."

pandemic, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:53 (fourteen years ago)

Actually Sami, not Sammy.

pandemic, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:54 (fourteen years ago)

he's a class act, it's true

Djibril Citté (onimo), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:54 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, can't imagine Sammy Lee saying that. Hey - how about Sammy Lee?

Michael Jones, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:55 (fourteen years ago)

He's fat he's round..etc

pandemic, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:57 (fourteen years ago)

I called his character a cunt on FIFA last night, so I guess I'm not getting on with my life.

Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:57 (fourteen years ago)

is this official btw? links?

pet tommy & the barkhaters (darraghmac), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:57 (fourteen years ago)

(Nasri's, not Sammy Lee's)

Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:57 (fourteen years ago)

Joseph Barton ‏ @Joey7Barton

Think I'll sit by the pool and reflect on not only on how lucky I am but how hard I work and how far that hard work has taken me...

nakhchivan, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:58 (fourteen years ago)

Not official, but LFC refusing to deny it plus Kenny have been 'in a meeting' since before 7am Boston time means the canny Glaswegian's days in the Anfield hotseat may be numbered.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 12:59 (fourteen years ago)

That's only a 2hr meeting tbf

pandemic, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:01 (fourteen years ago)

He's taken them thru our season chance by chance.

pandemic, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:01 (fourteen years ago)

meh

pet tommy & the barkhaters (darraghmac), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:02 (fourteen years ago)

my respect for the fenway cunts has been diminished by the news that they hold business meeting before 7am and expect a 60 yr old scottish dude to travel across the atlantic and comply with their depraved american customs

nakhchivan, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:02 (fourteen years ago)

pointing out that expanding the goals by a width of a post would have secured a champions league spot

Djibril Citté (onimo), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:02 (fourteen years ago)

Sky Sources confirm Sam Allardyce is taking legal action against Steve Kean

i'm going to allow this! etc

would pay to watch a US-style dramatisation of this trial.

ooooiiiioooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaoooooh un - bi - leevable! (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:02 (fourteen years ago)

poor bastards have got their work cut out between lfc and the red sox
xp

pandemic, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:03 (fourteen years ago)

bizarre thing is this thread has not confirmed that KD goes

I will have to look elsewhere again and try to find out

agree with Nakchivan -- it's a long way to fly, let him sleep before the meeting, etc etc - seriously.

the pinefox, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:04 (fourteen years ago)

betting has been suspended on KD going, that's the most concrete evidence so far, at least.

ooooiiiioooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaoooooh un - bi - leevable! (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:05 (fourteen years ago)

nothing on internet suggests this as yet

pet tommy & the barkhaters (darraghmac), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:06 (fourteen years ago)

scouse guy in office wants to fight me for announcing it. he's furious. i may bait further, wish me luck

pet tommy & the barkhaters (darraghmac), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:07 (fourteen years ago)

Sky Sports Mobile ‏ @SkySportsMobile
Betting suspended on Kenny Dalglish being in charge of Liverpool next season, Roberto Martinez and Rafa Benitez favourites to replace #LFC

ooooiiiioooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaoooooh un - bi - leevable! (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:08 (fourteen years ago)

betting has been suspended on KD going

That happens a lot though. Might stick a cheeky fiver on LeBron James, his rehabilitation starts here

Number None, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:09 (fourteen years ago)

yeah fair point, my "at least" was doing a lot of work in that sentence.

ooooiiiioooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaoooooh un - bi - leevable! (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:10 (fourteen years ago)

I really want Benitez back, if not KD to continue

the pinefox, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:14 (fourteen years ago)

Capello's looking for a job, but I can't imagine him at Liverpool.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:16 (fourteen years ago)

nah, he's used to winning clubs

Vermicious Knid A (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:20 (fourteen years ago)

Ned: Since the police can't seem to get off their duff-a-roonies to do something about this burglar-ino, I propose we start out own neighborhood watch (pause) aroony! (everyone cheers) Now, who should lead the group?
Man: You!
Everyone: (cheering again) Flanders! Flanders! Flanders!
Ned: Well, I don't have much experience, but I'd be--
Moe: Someone else!
Ned: (more cheers) Someone else! Someone else! Someone else!
Homer: I'm someone else!
Lenny: He's right!

ooooiiiioooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaoooooh un - bi - leevable! (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 15 May 2012 13:21 (fourteen years ago)

is that about players' houses?
