Elbowed Tevez in the throat, deserved red. Then kicked Aguero on his way off, headbutted someone else. Some other stuff as well I think. Probably lost his career writing Times leaders too, at a guess.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 13 May 2012 16:37 (fourteen years ago)

Lol thanks

cissémanwhore (DJ Mencap), Sunday, 13 May 2012 16:42 (fourteen years ago)

anyone else feel that sanchez/aguero going down from weak knees in the back is super-fucking lame? it is a sending off anyway and they'll get the shit they deserve; now stay up like a man.

CHAMP1-6NS (a hoy hoy), Sunday, 13 May 2012 16:44 (fourteen years ago)

yeah it's a bit crap but neither aguero or sanchez are pussies

Deserves the death sentance

18sri1 1 minute ago

I have no idea how the City players resisted caving his head. People like him are a valid argument for the death penalty being reinstated...

none of the city fans i know can deal w/ this; one of them left the pub early & was sat at home wallowing in presumed defeat for almost an hour before his girlfriend came home to laugh at him

Complaining about injury time and ten men?

ooooiiiioooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaoooooh un - bi - leevable! (LocalGarda), Sunday, 13 May 2012 17:36 (fourteen years ago)

The "five minutes injury time that helped them" comment was a disgrace tbh. Or plain trolling.

HO WBEAUTIFUL IS THE GENTLYFALLINGBLOOD? (Le Bateau Ivre), Sunday, 13 May 2012 17:48 (fourteen years ago)

Not even a disgrace, just shows him up as the small shoddy figure he is.

lol

MPx4A, Sunday, 13 May 2012 18:02 (fourteen years ago)

ehh ive watched the bbc interview too and if u think any football manager is going to be much less small and shoddy than that in the circumstances

nakhchivan, Sunday, 13 May 2012 18:59 (fourteen years ago)

No need to mention injury time or ten men, obv close to the best manager ever but charisma never there.

ooooiiiioooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaoooooh un - bi - leevable! (LocalGarda), Sunday, 13 May 2012 19:24 (fourteen years ago)

It does please me that the end of the Ferguson era, fingers crossed, arrives in way echoing its beginning, only a million times better.

I was at White Hart Lane. It was sunny. Tottenham Hotspur played well for about half an hour and should have been further than 1-0 ahead. Fulham came back into it. Defoe came on and scored with his 3rd touch or the like. Never in doubt after that. But the players looked tired and slow in the very last minutes.

Good to win the game and get fourth place. Didn't expect that at start of the season. I would support Munich vs Chelsea even if the circs weren't as they are. It seems unfair that if a team wins the CL, another one gets knocked out.

I am disappointed that Manchester City have won the title, though I suppose it was 95% expected. Steady Mike texted me some results during the game which was nice. I think I missed out on the sense of drama that others seem to have experienced.

It is possible that I have watched the last minutes of Modric, or even Bale, at WHL. Or maybe not. King joined the post-match lap of honour. Perhaps he will not play a match again.

the pinefox, Sunday, 13 May 2012 20:22 (fourteen years ago)

Barton tweeted: "People are forgetting Tevez started the fracas by throwing a punch to the head.

"Can do nothing but apologise to the players and the fans. Still don't think its a sending off."

After being ordered from the pitch, Barton floored Aguero with a kick, but said that this was aimed at inciting the Manchester City players.

He added: "The head was never gone at any stage, once I'd been sent off, one of our players suggested I should try to take one of theirs with me. It never worked but god loves a trier."

enjoyed seeing balotelli goading barton as he stormed off

nakhchivan, Sunday, 13 May 2012 21:16 (fourteen years ago)

Balotelli was really good when he came on. I don't think they'd've regained focus without him, let alone his through ball to Agüero.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 13 May 2012 21:20 (fourteen years ago)

he gave them a bit of creativity and spark

who's the MOTD commentator on the City game? I know we all loved Gnev's ejaculatory voice but this dude has the most annoying timbre when he gets excited

Wiping the sweat from his brow, Chris Aylward, a sales assistant, said: "I've never felt like this in my life. I hope not only is this the start of something special in my life as a football fan but in my personal life as well."

MOTD.

City being what they now are, I can't get excited for them.

They're not Chelsea or Man Utd.
