Community, the tv show

i remember the cast saying during the hiatus that community would get much, much darker post-hiatus, but i hadn't gotten that vibe until now. it's unfortunate because i eat that kind of stuff up.

I leave awake on because I'm not really engaged after the comedy block is on and usually start getting ready for the next day, ironing clothes, packing lunch, etc. but have never seen Harry Potter so thanks for IDing the dude!

throughout the first season Harmon talked about how he'd probably only be showrunner for a year and then go off and do other things once the show is up and running and in a groove. i'm glad he didn't do it then, but if he needs a break or w/e sure see how other people do with it.

Harmon doesn't want to leave as far as I can tell. It might be an issue with Sony. His next two guys are going off to do something else.

yeah i know the whole thing is foggy, i'm just saying it's not like he's ever been "this show can't exist without me," so neither should viewers imo

I think this saddened me so much that I blocked it out from my memory.

Also feel this show has gone places I don't think he would have expected it to in that first season.

Oh wow, that Blacksmith scene...

thought it would be a total waste of an episode but i did laugh pretty hard at the jive turkeys.

last couple of episodes more emotionally satisfying than i expected. seems like they were expecting cancellation with that ending (even though they throw a couple of leads for next season)

Yeah, took me a few minutes to acclimate, but it ended up being really good. And then the two bigger arc episodes were fantastic. Not a lot of totally lol jokes, but plenty of warm and fuzzy.

It might have been my SSRI withdrawal, but I began to well up a few times in that last hour.

those were great. right up there with remedial chaos theory, documentary filmmaking: redux and virtual systems analysis as best-of-the-season/series.

finale finale was a bit weaker than the first two but still great.

I thought the finale finale was great! Evil Abed ripping apart Britta was stone cold, and his saunter through the halls with the cigarette was fantastic.

oh, finale finale was great - just wasn't as laugh a minute for me as the first two. it brought the feelings. which are also important for community.

choice moment of the moment is shirley and annie killing the blacksmith and his wife - NO WITNESSES!

they were just taking down the dreamatorium, I don't think anyone was moving anywhere.

No, there were boxes being carried in there. It just looked like Troy might be getting his own room.

Troy is becoming more responsible, and blanket forts only hold their novelty for so long.

The finale was great -- I think I would have been fine with it being the last ever episode of Community, it would be a good note to go out on.

I realized this show is a lot like Venture Bros in the sense that both started out accessible enough but at this point only make their loyal fans even more loyal and nobody else can really knows what's going on.

Video game ep was A+. (Hopefully, the other two will be up soon.)
