the blackburn squad is better than wolves, wigan, bolton, qpr (averaging their squad pre/post jan), norwich, probably west brom too

yakubu is way better than any striker relegated in recent years, 16 gd goals
hoilett who they will now lose on a free is pretty damn good
nzonzi will probably be picked up for £7m or so, there aren't many better midfielders of his age around
pedersen is a useful epl winger who provides excellent setpiece delivery for a team like west brom
solid midtablish players like dunn, givet, olsson, vukcevic
dann and pobinson but they are probably on £30/40k a week for being terrible, they spent £6.5m on the former

fyi there are loads of better midfielders than nzonzi who are of similar age, dude's not 16

nancy seemed fairly happy to let samba diakite go and he'll easily be twice the player nzonzi is once we figure out the right cocktail of tranquilisers to give him

diakite is just a hack, n'zonzi actually has a bit of composure and passing range

this isn't to say he is all that good but he is certainly better than shite like pratley, henry, derry etc

i agree nzonzi is pretty good but only in the prem goldfish bowl would his performances to date mark him out as a £7m big deal

Yeah, Diakité's no hack. Exceptional with the ball - not just running with it, but great at creating space for himself, too. He can tackle, I think, and is gradually learning that it's not a good idea to remove your opponent's leg just below the knee.

more conventially speaking west brom's mulumbu i'd rate higher than the zonz fwiw

epl goldfish bowl is def a thing -- but so many managers like pulis, allardyce, o'neill etc will pay for epl acclimatized and proven n'zonzi over say someone out of serie a who has the potential to be twenty times better but might not enjoy the full fiddy worshipping, hollyoaks extra roasting, acl rupturing epl experience
