"it was the other arm"

Besides, Britta was never supposed to be brilliant: we find out in the first episode that she dropped out of high school to impress Radiohead.
You have set me up for the perfect zing but perhaps I will save it for the Mad Men thread.
― Respectfully, Tyrese Gibson (Nicole), Wednesday, May 2, 2012 8:25 AM
Seriously want to know when you became such a fucking dick. I don't get it. I've never done anything to you.
― Melissa W, Saturday, 5 May 2012 01:10 (fourteen years ago)
Hey now, calm down. If you don't want to talk about how shitty Community is now, take it to another thread.
― Fas Ro Duh (Gukbe), Saturday, 5 May 2012 01:12 (fourteen years ago)
too bad that promo spoiled the Dean's "who wants to dance?" moment.

OK, I didn't understand Nicole's comment tbh.

I'm sorry if I inadvertently caused offence.
― EveningStar (Sund4r), Saturday, 5 May 2012 01:59 (fourteen years ago)
(Really enjoyed the episode though btw.)
I laughed pretty damn loud at Britta reaching to console Jeff as he bawls into his textbook and he just slaps her hand away.
4 eps left, btw. Next week, then 3 on the Thursday after that.

Theory floated over on another board where I stole that gif: Evil Jeff is the one-armed lawyer who dropped off the beginning of the show. He's even missing the correct arm.
Troy and Abed between dimeeeeeeeennnnnnsions!
― Choad of Choad Hall (kingfish), Saturday, 5 May 2012 08:35 (fourteen years ago)
You'd have thought they might have noticed he looked just like Jeff?
Amazing episode, just hilarious all the way through. And yeah OTM about the Chang payoff. I actually really want them to develop Chang as military dictator now, that would be glorious.
They'll all have to enroll at the air conditioning repair school now..
― Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Saturday, 5 May 2012 12:13 (fourteen years ago)
Haven't seen the new ep yet, so I'll complain about it later, but what kind of community college makes you go to summer school? I just figured community college sort of *was* like summer school, sort of informal, where you just sort of scheduled classes ad hoc and wily nilly.
― Josh in Chicago, Saturday, 5 May 2012 13:54 (fourteen years ago)
Ha, trust me, it's often way more formal than that.
― Ned Raggett, Saturday, 5 May 2012 13:55 (fourteen years ago)
Abed was the only one who saw him. Abed also noticed and didn't say anything when he saw the Evil Dean.
― Choad of Choad Hall (kingfish), Saturday, 5 May 2012 16:21 (fourteen years ago)
xxxp troy with the big sacrifice joins the air conditioner repair school to save the group, sounds right
― Nhex, Saturday, 5 May 2012 19:55 (fourteen years ago)
loved this one
― polyphonic, Saturday, 5 May 2012 22:26 (fourteen years ago)
I liked this ep, but it felt sort of ... short? Perhaps because there was so much going on. Dean was great here, and tbh I'm not a huge Dean booster; I like him in small doses.
I recall before the season resumed the trailer played up Chang on the rampage, so I assume there will be more Chang to come.
― Josh in Chicago, Sunday, 6 May 2012 02:17 (fourteen years ago)
Chang is in the air?
what was all the weirdness with the pizza bit at the end? I know it was reffing the earlier 'timelines' episode but was anything specific going on, because it weirded me out?
― kinder, Sunday, 6 May 2012 18:42 (fourteen years ago)
I've kind of finally accepted that Season 3 feels way sloppier than Season 2 did for me, so while little things annoyed me or felt trite, this last episode I could just lol at the Dean and not sweat whether this still the best thing since the simpsons or whatever euphoria I had going on last year.
― da croupier, Sunday, 6 May 2012 18:47 (fourteen years ago)
Showing the last stage of grief, or that abed realized that everything was still ok, or to remind everyone (incl. the pizza guy, who I laughed pretty hard at) that other timelines exist?
We still have the John Hodgman cameo to come, too
― Choad of Choad Hall (kingfish), Sunday, 6 May 2012 18:48 (fourteen years ago)
Jim Rash definitely deserves a little Emmy to go with his Oscar

I eased up a bit when I looked at a list of s2 episodes and realized that I didn't remember a couple of them and remembered a couple being a little weak. It's possible that I may have just been so excited by what they were doing in the best ambitious episodes that I was holding this season to an unreasonable standard. Certainly, at least half of this season has been great. I don't know if any sitcom could have lived up to my expectations after s2.
― EveningStar (Sund4r), Sunday, 6 May 2012 23:55 (fourteen years ago)
"In the best episodes", I should probably say. I actually really like a lot of the more 'normal' episodes.

The last scene was necessary imo - they had to establish that the group is strong enough to stay close without the focal point of the college.

The fact that community colleges are almost all two year institutions, and just dismissed it for the sake of... whatever = PRETTY AWESOME.
