i normally go at 1:30, but can probably go at 1 if that will work better. i don't have a location in mind.

tortoise was pretty fun the other night. they were very tortoise-y. dan bitney (who is apparently from madison) looks a lot like chris elliot, right?

I'll go if we go at 1 and you pick a place (because three different people are asking me to select three different places for a drink tonight, dinner Monday, and lunch in like two weeks and I feel burdened).

You guys go to lunch too early. I usually go at 11 or 11:30.

I never go to lunch until like 1:15 or so because I like to be able to sit and read, so I want the lunch rush to die down a little.

i was originally forced into a 1:30 lunch but now i like it because i'm more productive before lunch and it makes the afternoon is nice and short

Speaking of my burdens, can anybody think of an interesting place to eat lunch that's Red Line accessible between Fullerton and Thorndale? That seems like it should be easy, but of course I'm blanking.

I eat lunch pretty late. Usually around 2. But I often have a piece of fruit around noon to tide me over.

Hey speaking of... nothing, actually, I took the elevator to the train platform this morning and I stepped in behind a guy who got on and stood in front of the buttons, and the door closed and we didn't go anywhere because... he didn't push the button for the platform. I mean.

it's cool. i had shrimp tacos for the first time, they were delicious.

I drove down Wabash to see if I could find a quick parking spot to come up and surprise you but no luck.

I had to drive my boss' car somewhere, which is why I couldn't make it to lunch.

Jeff, I've noticed that place and I was interested but also I was a little annoyed at the fact that they call it "peasant food."

Remember that horrible clusterfuck in the "shallow pedantic complaints that drive you crazy" thread re the trend of "peasant" and "slow" food?

Also, I'm not a fan of offal. Except sweetmeats.
