some of the ynahtid-arsenal/chelsea game got a similar buildup but they werent the antepenultimate game of the season, and the outcome in any case wouldn't have been so definitive

Erm... it was exactly the same situation last season. United were 3 points ahead of Chelsea with three games to go when they met at Old Trafford. In fact, if anything it was closer as they were level on goal difference.

And in 2008, Chelsea v United with three games left, United were leading by three points, Chelsea won that to go level on points (but still lost the league on the final day).

Looks like it's going to be a massacre.
