It is barbaric - and so is the CFC abuse of Ferdinand. It should be treated as seriously as the other kinds of abuse that are taken seriously.

the pinefox, Sunday, 29 April 2012 09:10 (fourteen years ago)

It is a literalization of the phrase 'adding insult to injury'.
But that familiar phrase does not convey how shameful and wrong it is.

the pinefox, Sunday, 29 April 2012 09:13 (fourteen years ago)

Jelavic's first touch for the chance he put onto the post y'day was quite something.

pandemic, Sunday, 29 April 2012 10:09 (fourteen years ago)

those pulis quotes are dreadful

he is just such a fucking remedial mouthbreathing lumpen

like even one of those rare occasions so completely indefensible that no serious person would ignore it, for him it's another springboard for TEAM STOKE

Ms Tum-Bla-Wi-Tee (nakhchivan), Sunday, 29 April 2012 11:54 (fourteen years ago)

Utd will still win the league even if City do manage to beat them

Foolish talk. If City win the match, they'll win the league. If United win the match, they'll win the league. If it's a draw, United will *probably* win the league.

Let's Talk About Socks (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:19 (fourteen years ago)

enough with the mind games

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:23 (fourteen years ago)

i dont remember a single league game this close to the end of the season where things were quite so delicately poised betwen the contenders

some of the ynahtid-arsenal/chelsea game got a similar buildup but they werent the antepenultimate game of the season, and the outcome in any case wouldn't have been so definitive

i like that no matter how much the hack contingent go on about MIND GAMES, mancini still does his glowering impassive faux-mongface and answers MAYBE or IS FOOTBALL IS STRANGE to most questions, while ferguson's periodic snipes are flinty and half-hearted

Ms Tum-Bla-Wi-Tee (nakhchivan), Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:23 (fourteen years ago)

ha xp

Ms Tum-Bla-Wi-Tee (nakhchivan), Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:24 (fourteen years ago)

always nice to say antepenultimate, a baroque 25 yard plom of a word

Ms Tum-Bla-Wi-Tee (nakhchivan), Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:24 (fourteen years ago)

Nani might be injured. Bugger

Number None, Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:30 (fourteen years ago)

BOOM!

pandemic, Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:33 (fourteen years ago)

Sweet from Sturridge there

Erm... it was exactly the same situation last season. United were 3 points ahead of Chelsea with three games to go when they met at Old Trafford. In fact, if anything it was closer as they were level on goal difference.

Let's Talk About Socks (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:44 (fourteen years ago)

And in 2008, Chelsea v United with three games left, United were leading by three points, Chelsea won that to go level on points (but still lost the league on the final day).

Let's Talk About Socks (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:50 (fourteen years ago)

Looks like it's going to be a massacre.

Just like you, except hot (ShariVari), Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:50 (fourteen years ago)

oh awesome I actually want Chelsea to win this match, thanks for this Eck, great stuff

MPx4A, Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:51 (fourteen years ago)

Torres, 3-0 already. Inept.

pandemic, Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:52 (fourteen years ago)

4-0 Torres. Super-inept.

Just like you, except hot (ShariVari), Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:55 (fourteen years ago)

listicular fortitude (DJ Mencap), Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:56 (fourteen years ago)

maaaan this is going to be ugly for QPR

PSOD (Ste), Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:56 (fourteen years ago)

It just doesnt get any worse than this

God, if ur out there destroy jt with a mighty crack of lightning and lets get this vile & immoral farce abandoned

r|t|c, Sunday, 29 April 2012 12:58 (fourteen years ago)

far be it from me to rain on others' schadenfreude, but this run needs a Stalingrad and soon

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 29 April 2012 13:00 (fourteen years ago)

no-one ever goes five up before half-time do they...?

listicular fortitude (DJ Mencap), Sunday, 29 April 2012 13:00 (fourteen years ago)

Pretty sure this is the worst thing I have ever seen

r|t|c, Sunday, 29 April 2012 13:02 (fourteen years ago)

QPR fucking up their goal difference big time.

Spurs temporarily down to 6th, Everton could still catch 'em.

Also last nights MOTD, Alan Hansen sneering at qualifying for the Europa Lge. FUCK OFF ALAN!

pandemic, Sunday, 29 April 2012 13:06 (fourteen years ago)

A couple of minutes later Sturridge drove into the area, only for Ferdinand to kick the ball away to safety. Cue the expected boos from the home fans.

chelsea fans vs stoke fans

Ms Tum-Bla-Wi-Tee (nakhchivan), Sunday, 29 April 2012 13:07 (fourteen years ago)

fitba fans are mostly terrible sometimes worse sometimes chelsea or stoke fans

Ms Tum-Bla-Wi-Tee (nakhchivan), Sunday, 29 April 2012 13:08 (fourteen years ago)

Booing of Ferdinand is drowning out the commentary at times. Definitely not a small minority.

Just like you, except hot (ShariVari), Sunday, 29 April 2012 13:10 (fourteen years ago)

qpr looked pretty solid against us, maybe they can pull out a second half performance

diafiyhm (darraghmac), Sunday, 29 April 2012 13:53 (fourteen years ago)

Torres hat-trick.

Just like you, except hot (ShariVari), Sunday, 29 April 2012 13:54 (fourteen years ago)

happy for the guy

PSOD (Ste), Sunday, 29 April 2012 13:54 (fourteen years ago)

Well done Nando!

pandemic, Sunday, 29 April 2012 13:55 (fourteen years ago)

what I want to know is, what does this do to Mark Hughes?

the pinefox, Sunday, 29 April 2012 14:13 (fourteen years ago)

Hopefully RDM will give him a patronising pat on the head at the end.

pandemic, Sunday, 29 April 2012 14:19 (fourteen years ago)

Another ex LFC striker gets on the scoresheet. Still time for another red card as well Djibs.

pandemic, Sunday, 29 April 2012 14:20 (fourteen years ago)

Graham Taylor on R5 splutters

--- who is going to be the first player, to TWITTER, their manager's half-time team talk ???

the pinefox, Sunday, 29 April 2012 14:52 (fourteen years ago)

So naive. As if the players actually listen at half-time.

pandemic, Sunday, 29 April 2012 14:55 (fourteen years ago)

so, pandemic, that's exactly my POINT, actually, that you've MADE, that in a way, the PLAYERS are not even LISTENING, they're playing with their Twitter, and that's how football has CHANGED, since I came into the game. I'm not saying it's right or it's wrong but THAT'S how it IS, and we need to, in a sense, REALIZE that.

the pinefox, Sunday, 29 April 2012 14:59 (fourteen years ago)

This could be a long afternoon for Blackburn.

fun loving and xtremely tolrant (Billy Dods), Sunday, 29 April 2012 15:02 (fourteen years ago)

ehh that's one way to react to Lennon missing an open goal after 60 seconds

listicular fortitude (DJ Mencap), Sunday, 29 April 2012 15:03 (fourteen years ago)

sandro so much more talented than brave h'english water carrying retard parker

Ms Tum-Bla-Wi-Tee (nakhchivan), Sunday, 29 April 2012 15:12 (fourteen years ago)

they're both quite good

the pinefox, Sunday, 29 April 2012 15:12 (fourteen years ago)

Blackburn are getting every bit as battered as QPR were earlier, except in this case it's going to result in them scoring from a hopeful hoof over a sleeping Gallas

listicular fortitude (DJ Mencap), Sunday, 29 April 2012 15:13 (fourteen years ago)

lol steve kean cribbing off martinez

Ms Tum-Bla-Wi-Tee (nakhchivan), Sunday, 29 April 2012 15:16 (fourteen years ago)

really glad Bale and Lennon have swapped sides, that's a fresh and zingy approach sure to fox these simple Lancastrians

listicular fortitude (DJ Mencap), Sunday, 29 April 2012 15:16 (fourteen years ago)

is dann even worse than roger johnson

Ms Tum-Bla-Wi-Tee (nakhchivan), Sunday, 29 April 2012 15:17 (fourteen years ago)

Why do they do that? What is even the point?

I'm not watching the game, I can't bear it.

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Sunday, 29 April 2012 15:17 (fourteen years ago)

VDV 1-0

listicular fortitude (DJ Mencap), Sunday, 29 April 2012 15:22 (fourteen years ago)

amazed, Tottenham have scored a goal

the pinefox, Sunday, 29 April 2012 15:22 (fourteen years ago)

from a cross from Lennon back on the right again, don't try and learn from that or anything tho

listicular fortitude (DJ Mencap), Sunday, 29 April 2012 15:23 (fourteen years ago)
