Gavin McInnes being a fully-developed conservative douchebag at this point is kind of like the writer/directors of The Matrix seeing that people liked their film and then expanding on and developing the parts people found stupid and distasteful.

I though that was just he was cautious that he doesn't want to embarrass his awesome girlfriend, whereas she is thinking "Please please do something actually embarrassing so that I can dump you w/a clear conscience" (though that scenario doesn't work for her as she ends up hiding in the bedroom then the toilet from him).

I liked the English girl because a) science shows I like English girls, but also she wasn't Shosanna Mamet and she was graceful when SM kept wittering on about this show that the English girl has already said she has never watched!

Saw that funny, self aware post on Gawker - "we're shitting on the wrong show" - that "Veep" topped "Girls" in the ratings. Shows the value of hype.

"Veep" has an established TV star.

veeps audience is also much more "grownups" who buy hbo, watch in real time, etc

Pretty sure "a name" is the decisive factor. If you recommend some kind of art film to a Regular American, I understand the most common response is "Who's in it?"

hey guys I downloaded the second episode of this Girls show and it's really all about awkward people in their early 20s not having defined their own voices yet, so this "could be a voice of a generation" thing is pretty much full of lols

I mean, unless the show goes on eight years and characters are still saying clueless shit about STDs and AIDS and shit, then it'd be like the takimag half-hour sponsored by lol white people

That is so true about Simmons! It's so weird to watch him in that role but he's really really good.
