I do like him but he's entirely melded with Sturridge in my mind and Sturridge was rotten yesterday

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 22 April 2012 21:17 (fourteen years ago)

well as yr boy michael cox sez, di matteo likes to have sensible disciplined types on the wings (kalou/ramires) whereas vyaszb'wasz was happy to have sturridge doing his sulky poacherr routine in the inside right channel

first ever ILX mention hidden in a misspelling:

Peter "One Dart" Manley (The stickman from the hilarious 'xkcd' comics) wrote this on thread Liverpool won't be on dis ting 2008/09 on board I Love Everything on Nov 15, 2008

Let's all get overexcited about Danny Wellbeck.

I don't see the similarity

I proposed that pair as two-thirds of an England front III, with Rooney, and now I can't remember which is which. Like Jason Wilcox and Stuart Ripley, or any German club side that isn't Bayern.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 22 April 2012 21:35 (fourteen years ago)

stuart ripley had stupid hair iirc maybe it was spiky or something? jason wilcox i can remember absolutely nothing about

paul warhurst, who was paul warhurst

FORMER Blackburn Rovers player Stuart Ripley is looking forward to quite a different career after graduating from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) this week with a combined honours degree in Law and French.

Stuart, who hung up his boots in the summer of 2002, won the Premiership with Blackburn Rovers in 1995 and also played for England during his spell at the club.

He now intends to continue his studies at UCLan's Lancashire Law School, with a postgraduate Legal Practice Course.

aguero over twp, cabaye or tiote or modric over parker

The term “hipster racism” from Carmen Van Kerckhove at Racialicious (nakhchivan), Sunday, 22 April 2012 22:13 (fourteen years ago)

not modric.

Ekotto over baines, and i'm sure there's a rb in the league can defend?

diafiyhm (darraghmac), Sunday, 22 April 2012 22:19 (fourteen years ago)

Just watched the Connor post-match interview - saddest thing was when, despite clearly being on the verge of tears, he somehow remembered to call it "the Barclays Premier League".

William Bloody Swygart, Sunday, 22 April 2012 22:19 (fourteen years ago)

Good to see Man United get the recognition their table topping form deserves.

sagna, mostly

ferguson as moty is the only recognition any individual deserves there tbh

yeah, sagna's seemed to have had a good season i thought?

Clint ahead of parker, bale, rooney

def dempsey

ogmor, Sunday, 22 April 2012 22:42 (fourteen years ago)

Even the PTOY doesn't think of Bale as a winger anymore. Harry your job is done.

pandemic, Monday, 23 April 2012 06:08 (fourteen years ago)

sagna was injured for 5 months

Thoughts? You must have loads. (a hoy hoy), Monday, 23 April 2012 08:50 (fourteen years ago)

So apparently Redknapp has had a training ground row with Adebayor which resulted in him refusing to play at QPR, and he's completely lost the dressing room and ended up in arguments with Lennon, Kaboul and Walker of late.

Dunno if it's true but has the ring of credibility to it. All concerned are cocks obviously.

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Monday, 23 April 2012 09:56 (fourteen years ago)

if i were kaboul i'd be unhappy about being dropped for gallas, lennon should obv be in the team, adebayor shouldn't be signed permanently, walker prob v unhappy at not having any cover in front of him this past three months.

If i got a hold of harry i'd row with him too.

diafiyhm (darraghmac), Monday, 23 April 2012 10:12 (fourteen years ago)

yeah when we argue the skill-set of pro managers then "dealing effectively with cocks" has to be a requirement, for better or worse

aboulia banks (Noodle Vague), Monday, 23 April 2012 10:14 (fourteen years ago)

people like to talk about HR's great man-management

'sometimes you need to put an arm round a player'
'Harry's good with players'

I often thought he treated players poorly

don't know if this story is true, though

I think it is a fact that I said in about early Feb that Spurs would probably finish 5th, and various people laughed / mocked / said I was kidding

I thought that Arsenal would go on a run (they did), thought Chelsea would overpower us (they haven't, yet, except in the SF), did not at all believe that Newcastle would finish above us (feels like they will).

the pinefox, Monday, 23 April 2012 10:18 (fourteen years ago)

oh and I also thought we would hit poor form / collapse, though maybe not quite as consistently poorly as we have.

the pinefox, Monday, 23 April 2012 10:18 (fourteen years ago)

if i were kaboul i'd be unhappy about being dropped for gallas

Isn't he injured?

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Monday, 23 April 2012 10:21 (fourteen years ago)

even so tbh

diafiyhm (darraghmac), Monday, 23 April 2012 10:22 (fourteen years ago)

PF you are a veritable oracle

diafiyhm (darraghmac), Monday, 23 April 2012 10:24 (fourteen years ago)

this is the link?
http://tottenham-spur.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/redknapp-in-row-at-tottenham.html

I think I am, DM, but like I say I didn't see Newcastle coming -- I repeatedly said earlier in the season that they would not last, cos it seemed an easy and robust thing to say; oddly it was not true

the pinefox, Monday, 23 April 2012 10:25 (fourteen years ago)

we'll still get 4th tho

diafiyhm (darraghmac), Monday, 23 April 2012 10:25 (fourteen years ago)

even so, even the commonly held negativity of the spurs fan was nowhere to be seen at xmas, i'll never trust again

diafiyhm (darraghmac), Monday, 23 April 2012 10:27 (fourteen years ago)

Newcastle will fall at the last hurdle I think, they've got to play Chelsea and then City who are back in with a shout of the title. And Everton at Goodison. If they get fourth after that lot they'll have thoroughly deserved it but I don't see it.

Chelsea will finish fourth.

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Monday, 23 April 2012 10:30 (fourteen years ago)

OK, that sounds accurate.

the pinefox, Monday, 23 April 2012 10:32 (fourteen years ago)

no, chelsea will take a savage beating at barca and i'm not sure lampard's heart will take it. The ensuing puling over an RIP Lampard number 8 shirt will end in the 'tragic' drowning of the entire chelsea squad and staff in a wave of puke from everyone else

diafiyhm (darraghmac), Monday, 23 April 2012 10:33 (fourteen years ago)

but in any case, no, chelsea won't get fourth

diafiyhm (darraghmac), Monday, 23 April 2012 10:34 (fourteen years ago)

i think betting against newcastle is to ignore the reality of the good football they're playing with with decent, and relatively fresh, players. i say they'll finish third. arsenal fourth. i shall lol.

Upt0eleven, Monday, 23 April 2012 10:35 (fourteen years ago)

FWIW I reckon Spurs will draw with Villa, beat Bolton and then lose to Blackburn and Fulham. I don't think Gallas and King will be able to cope with Blackburn lumping it up to the Yak at all.

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Monday, 23 April 2012 10:37 (fourteen years ago)

have city won the league or did united lose it?

Rosie 47 (ken c), Monday, 23 April 2012 12:37 (fourteen years ago)

citeh walked it in the end

diafiyhm (darraghmac), Monday, 23 April 2012 12:48 (fourteen years ago)

notorious bottlers united notoriously bottled it.

Upt0eleven, Monday, 23 April 2012 12:53 (fourteen years ago)

yeah, i'm not sure what the narrative is now cos City bottled it originally but now we're bottling it. Dunno if i'm gonna be able for his derby

Number None, Monday, 23 April 2012 12:56 (fourteen years ago)

this derby even

Number None, Monday, 23 April 2012 12:56 (fourteen years ago)

Plenty more bottling to come hopefully. Bottleless races are a drag.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 23 April 2012 12:58 (fourteen years ago)

That should be races with bottle I guess, but it sounds wrong.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 23 April 2012 12:59 (fourteen years ago)
