At a Dead C-themed art installation awaiting the Charalambides. Somehow a convincing Dunedin pub was built (just for this event) on the second floor of this place.

Weird day today... Made pumpkin pancakes while listening to a podcast analysis of "The Shadow Out Of Time." Later on I fell asleep to Hex Induction Hour so I kinda deserve everything I get at this point.

I provided the music during dinner at a lovely wedding tonight. This wedding was a beautiful reflection of the couple as well as the community.
It wasn't boring in the least, but it was kind of a non-event for me. The woman I love is 1000 miles away. I almost didn't get to eat!
I quietly packed up my gear and left without saying goodbye to anyone.

Mine is 450 miles away, and plans to meet up for the holiday weekend fell through on friday morning, so instead I did electrical and plumbing repairs around the house into the wee hours of the morning. Did some exercise and some housecleaning.

JBR, I started listening to that playlist earlier today, really like it.

Tonight: half a tuna sandwich, some work, the everpresent Braves game, some peach ice cream here in a few minutes.

peach ice cream sounds nice. i tried Breyers cuz i like their vanilla but the peach wasn't much to write home about

spent the afternoon dozing because i drank too much last night and got up too early this morning (6:30 or thereabouts).

wrote for a while, then watched jackson galaxy rescue cats and their keepers from themselves.

went to petsmart to return a fur trimmer and to covet kittens. then to target for TP, salted caramel gelato, and coffee.

now i'm home. ate some salsa and chips. not sure what i'm gonna do next.

gave up on boring movies. watching Godfather

Turning 29, preparing to spend tomorrow wallowing in self-pity and borderline fatal quantities of alcohol.

Not Saturday here any more, but I drank Red Stripe and played poker while listening to Dog Man Star.

My boring Saturday night is a lot better than my Thursday night, which I spent the entirety of in the ER being treated for severe diverticulitis. Bring on the boredom!

I'm on antibiotics and Percocet, so . . . Sort of? It remains to be seen. Have to follow up on Monday. I was in so much pain they thought my appendix had burst.

Since Thursday night, when I ate dinner and before I went to the ER, I have eaten the following:

Three Popsicles
Two cups of broth
A serving of mashed potatoes
A serving a plain yogurt
Water
Grape juice

That's pretty much all I'm allowed to have, along with other no-fiber, bland foods, until this is under control. From the time I arrived in the ER Thursday night until I went home Friday morning at 5am, they had to dose me with morphine three times.

"saturday night" is meaningless to me these days. We dragged K around Manhattan all day - grandparents, central park zoo, back to grandparents. Carrying the stroller and her so much left me sore all over and now I'm just happy to be home with relatively little to do other than re-reading some relatively interesting financial crisis related stuff for work reasons.

Hmm. Time to assign more image files to songs that iTunes refuses to recognize.
