Number None, Saturday, 14 April 2012 13:25 (fourteen years ago)

This is a truly terrible footballing week so far

Let's Talk About Socks (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 14 April 2012 13:26 (fourteen years ago)

can well imagine there's pro-tevez city fans that think mancini's a twat and the money is abstract and someone else's therefore nbd

r|t|c, Saturday, 14 April 2012 13:36 (fourteen years ago)

that was fucking magnificent tbf

Number None, Saturday, 14 April 2012 13:38 (fourteen years ago)

r|t|c, Saturday, 14 April 2012 13:45 (fourteen years ago)

r|t|c, Saturday, 14 April 2012 14:29 (fourteen years ago)

Blackburn mounting a serious relegation challenge now

red is hungry green is jawless (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 14 April 2012 15:34 (fourteen years ago)

the way this is going swansea should really score a couple more before it's done, i don't know how much of that is them being particularly ruthless despite being 3-0 up and how much is blackburn being utterly rubbish. (xp)

michael nyman cat (Merdeyeux), Saturday, 14 April 2012 15:36 (fourteen years ago)

Well that was fucking brutal. (bad) City were just so clinical. Watching it, it didn't feel like we were getting slammed 6-1 (maybe it was all the beer I drank, though), but at the same time we had very few clear cut chances to complain about. Have to say I lol'ed at Tevez' celebration for his hat trick. I hate (bad) City, but I actually quite like Tevez. Man City are the only team to properly destroy us this season (11-2 on aggregate: yikes). To whoever it was upthread last week saying Norwich never look capable or threatening: we've scored against *every* team in the premier league this season, and only failed to score in 5 games our of 34 so far. That's pretty threatening and capable.

CraigG, Saturday, 14 April 2012 16:08 (fourteen years ago)

load of bollocks today, really could have done with cisse

will make next saturday's mugging of spurs at loftus road all the sweeter tho

:/

r|t|c, Saturday, 14 April 2012 16:18 (fourteen years ago)

Craig - I started watching the match after Surman had pulled it back to 2-1 and Norwich looked like they might well get a draw for quite a while, then there was an avalanche of goals.

Let's Talk About Socks (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 14 April 2012 16:35 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, it was still fun at 2-1, and we still looked in it. Then they realised they could just pass past us if they wanted a goal that badly. :(

CraigG, Saturday, 14 April 2012 18:08 (fourteen years ago)

Bollocks. Still, the train journey to the Midlands was fun. And so was the journey back. The bit in the middle was a bit shit.

Viva Brother Beyond (ithappens), Saturday, 14 April 2012 19:35 (fourteen years ago)

kid steel (cajunsunday), Sunday, 15 April 2012 15:13 (fourteen years ago)

Sickening thuggery from Villa against their erstwhile star goes rightly punished

Let's Talk About Socks (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Sunday, 15 April 2012 15:15 (fourteen years ago)

that was a close one.

kid steel (cajunsunday), Sunday, 15 April 2012 15:23 (fourteen years ago)

Nearly a bit of magic there from Scholes. I was embarrassed when he came back, but have to admit the team is much better with him.

Let's Talk About Socks (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Sunday, 15 April 2012 15:32 (fourteen years ago)

And right on cue he gets injured.

Let's Talk About Socks (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Sunday, 15 April 2012 15:33 (fourteen years ago)

Worst shot ever from Valencia

Let's Talk About Socks (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Sunday, 15 April 2012 15:38 (fourteen years ago)

lol alan parry blaming villa for young's diving. fuck this, not watching any more of this shite.

Chris, Sunday, 15 April 2012 16:17 (fourteen years ago)

yeah was going to mention that. that was pretty low.

kid steel (cajunsunday), Sunday, 15 April 2012 16:18 (fourteen years ago)

Berbatov!

Number None, Sunday, 15 April 2012 16:35 (fourteen years ago)

villa just goes to show how much of an absolute bloody shambles you have to be to go down most seasons

beat the relegation candidates barely worse than you, scrape a few shitty draws here and there, maybe once fluke turning over a decent team and bob's your uncle see u next year here's £50m quid

r|t|c, Sunday, 15 April 2012 17:04 (fourteen years ago)

that dive is pretty impressive!

Rosie 47 (ken c), Sunday, 15 April 2012 17:18 (fourteen years ago)

wasn't a dive, just a disastrous attempt to do this:

michael nyman cat (Merdeyeux), Sunday, 15 April 2012 18:04 (fourteen years ago)

Young prob been told by fergie it's part of the tradition to do that.

I'm going to allow this! (LocalGarda), Sunday, 15 April 2012 19:07 (fourteen years ago)

yeah, he learnt that at Utd

Number None, Sunday, 15 April 2012 19:13 (fourteen years ago)

dive or be transferred, that's the united philosophy.

I'm going to allow this! (LocalGarda), Sunday, 15 April 2012 19:17 (fourteen years ago)

pffft young has always been a diving bastard, he has just upped the ante

Thoughts? You must have loads. (a hoy hoy), Sunday, 15 April 2012 23:16 (fourteen years ago)

He was the "most fouled" player in the league last season, and won the most penalties

Number None, Sunday, 15 April 2012 23:19 (fourteen years ago)

only Suárez, Gutiérrez & Moses are ahead of him in the 'fouled' category this season

both

pandemic, Monday, 16 April 2012 10:31 (fourteen years ago)

anyone seen enough of gaitan for an informed opinion

never blown me away in champs leagues games but then benfica generally never do. he's supposedly playing out of position tho

would think kagawa and martinez or strootman might be better bets

r|t|c, Monday, 16 April 2012 12:01 (fourteen years ago)

is sahin ready to throw the towel in at madrid yet

r|t|c, Monday, 16 April 2012 12:01 (fourteen years ago)

Fabio was the more highly-rated of the twins when they arrived (captained Brasil at youth level etc.) but he's never had an extended run in the team without an injury and hasn't bulked up like Rafael has. A loan is a good call but i hope it doesn't have a negative impact on Rafael who was superb yesterday and brings the best out in Valencia, unlike Jones or Smalling in that position.
