Struck me last night, very idly wondering about the twitter account and the website that something like the following might be happening.

i: GZ's first clownshow lawyers (rtd) said the website was "authentic"
ii: plainly this needn't mean GZ actually coded, designed or wrote any of it -- or necessarily picked the grafitti image, let alone riffled thru his big book of handy Ibsen quotes etc, just that at some point he OK'd it.
iii: my speculation is that as GZ was peekin fearfully thru the curtains sometime somewhere muttering omg omg omfg, 1 x Passing Savvy Grifter suggested to him the notion of a support website, complete with paypal donation button etc. "To tell your side of the story to the world!"
iv: GZ: "yes! a website! with paypal! what's paypal? where do you get a website? etc"
v: PSG then said, don't sweat it, I'll design it for you. And did so, and showed to ZG, who was amazed and grateful and excited and did not for one second see any of what might be coming...
vi: PSG then said, we will also need a twitter account to juice up traffic and etc, and set this up too
vii: GZ is -- let us stipulate -- several hoods short of a klanmeet when it comes to brains, foresight, self-awareness etc, and has very enthusiastically signed off on all this, perhaps even passing on a few tidbits of his upcoming media appointments (viz the Hannity info), to give it substance.

In my model, PSG, whoever s/he may be, is not (necessarily) ideologically in sync with GZ at all. He is however entirely in sync with that donations paypal account. And quite happy short-term to tweet stuff that keeps the traffic going, however much it harms GZ medium-term.

GZ may or may not ever have had the keys to that twitter account. He may well have forgotten that it was ever proposed; or even known it came into existence.
