ah fuck Henry's back. don't see what can go wrong for him in this relegation battle at his former club.

Kights again :)

red is hungry green is jawless (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 7 April 2012 17:04 (fourteen years ago)

3 Tottenham 32 20 59
4 Arsenal 31 21 58
5 Chelsea 32 18 56
6 Newcastle 32 6 56

if we could get arse>newcastle>spurs>chelsea then life would be sweet

Thoughts? You must have loads. (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 7 April 2012 17:09 (fourteen years ago)

and so with comic inevitability the equaliser arrives

red is hungry green is jawless (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 7 April 2012 17:10 (fourteen years ago)

My priority is for Arse-Che to be high-stakes, hence a City win tomorrow.

How are the relative run-ins? Bookies still heavily favour a Spurs-Arsenal top four.

"no one argues Terry Connor's credentials as a coach"

we are not bemused (onimo), Saturday, 7 April 2012 17:40 (fourteen years ago)

didn't say they were credentials as a good coach tbf

red is hungry green is jawless (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 7 April 2012 17:43 (fourteen years ago)

Ah right he has his coaching badges so it's all good. Has there ever been another top flight manager who has never won a game?

we are not bemused (onimo), Saturday, 7 April 2012 17:48 (fourteen years ago)

sets up a champion tyre run, and you wanna see him throwing out those cones

j'en ai cache (darraghmac), Saturday, 7 April 2012 17:49 (fourteen years ago)

Lombardo won two games, and even Shearer managed one.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 7 April 2012 17:57 (fourteen years ago)

Crouch has a good head for a big man with good feet. Sometimes.

1908 Samtusify on Twitter: "So, Pearce chooses Danny Welbeck against Holland although Crouch has been more dangerous in front of goal. England Logic. *slow clap*"

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 7 April 2012 18:31 (fourteen years ago)

Thoughts? You must have loads. (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 7 April 2012 18:32 (fourteen years ago)

I got a crackin' photo of Alex McLeish. I'll share it later.

Chris, Saturday, 7 April 2012 19:07 (fourteen years ago)

Was it worth it?

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 7 April 2012 19:10 (fourteen years ago)

did you not see his post. he got a crackin' photo of Alex McLeish - of course it was worth it!

Thoughts? You must have loads. (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 7 April 2012 19:25 (fourteen years ago)

Indeed! Got a couple of pics of our very own Stephen Warnock too. The photo of Lucas is what really made the trip worthwhile though ;) Started badly didn't we, but responded well in the second half and deserved the equaliser. Wasn't pretty, but better than recent weeks. Thought Henderson was really good, and Skrtel was back to his best after a couple of dodgy games. Some lovely footwork by Doni btw.

Chris, Saturday, 7 April 2012 19:29 (fourteen years ago)

i can deal with the despair, etc.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 7 April 2012 19:31 (fourteen years ago)

im on iphone now cuz obv im watching the very real stoke vs irreal wolves but id like to recommend an observer article from 2k12 called the real pub landlord or sthing in which timmeh says englishness is a mix of tolerance and incompetence, which is a very real england notion of englishness

Think from a Spurs pov we've got to hope that:

- City beat Arsenal today
- Arsenal beat Chelsea, or at least draw
- Chelsea and Newcastle draw
- Tottenham don't completely go to shit

Reckon Newcastle will continue to win until May, but they've then got Chelsea, City and Everton away one after the other.

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Sunday, 8 April 2012 11:14 (fourteen years ago)

Liverpool deciding to stop being shit and beating Chelsea at Anfield would be nice as well.

ARGH.

This isn't going to be fun.

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Sunday, 8 April 2012 11:16 (fourteen years ago)

srsly third is delivered stop stressin

j'en ai cache (darraghmac), Sunday, 8 April 2012 11:24 (fourteen years ago)

I'd be more hopeful of Liverpool doing that than anything else this season tbh

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 8 April 2012 11:26 (fourteen years ago)

Most one-sided possession stat I've ever seen: United 92% QPR 8%

Let's Talk About Socks (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Sunday, 8 April 2012 12:39 (fourteen years ago)

that is harsh

Number None, Sunday, 8 April 2012 12:44 (fourteen years ago)

It's gonna get worse. Cheers ref. May as well turn off now.

Cragenham Craig (Craigo Boingo), Sunday, 8 April 2012 12:44 (fourteen years ago)

oh great. unwatchable now.

PSOD (Ste), Sunday, 8 April 2012 12:45 (fourteen years ago)

what a joke

sonderangerbot, Sunday, 8 April 2012 12:46 (fourteen years ago)

Thought Derry got him with a kick before the push, he went down easy though, red is superharsh.

Cragenham Craig (Craigo Boingo), Sunday, 8 April 2012 12:46 (fourteen years ago)

annoyed at that tbh. Offside and not a foul

Number None, Sunday, 8 April 2012 12:46 (fourteen years ago)

Yup, a trifle harsh

Let's Talk About Socks (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Sunday, 8 April 2012 12:46 (fourteen years ago)

absolute cunting joke

cunts better well rescind the ban after this or im going postal

r|t|c, Sunday, 8 April 2012 12:49 (fourteen years ago)

What does Rafael have to do before he's booked?

Cragenham Craig (Craigo Boingo), Sunday, 8 April 2012 12:57 (fourteen years ago)

he's on two strikes

Number None, Sunday, 8 April 2012 12:58 (fourteen years ago)

the refereeing team looking a bit shook there

Number None, Sunday, 8 April 2012 13:17 (fourteen years ago)

Leaving aside the specifics of this incident, if a player is running onto a through ball but hasn't reached the ball yet and is then tripped/shoved over in the box, is that a penalty irrespective of whether he was in an offside position when the ball was played?

Let's Talk About Socks (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Sunday, 8 April 2012 13:19 (fourteen years ago)

well surely the flag should have gone up for offside before the foul happens, no?

Number None, Sunday, 8 April 2012 13:23 (fourteen years ago)

Indirect free kick for offside as that's the first offence. The challenge could still draw a yellow or red for danger, but not for denying a goalscoring opportunity.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 8 April 2012 13:23 (fourteen years ago)

Looks even less of a pen with each viewing.

Lineo was perfectly in line with the offside player as well. Gutted.

Cragenham Craig (Craigo Boingo), Sunday, 8 April 2012 13:24 (fourteen years ago)

the lino deserves the most blame i think. Such an obvious offside. Young is one of the worst divers in the league but I actually did think it looked like a penalty in real time

Number None, Sunday, 8 April 2012 13:27 (fourteen years ago)

What if the fouled player was nowhere near the ball and not interfering with play?
