Oops, ENBB...

Little mad at the ending of that season too. After all that foreshadowing of the accident in the credits all they leave you with is floating teddy bear?! Not cool BB, not cool. At least I know I can just watch the next tonight. I'd have been pissed if I'd watched this in real time and had to wait a whole week for the next ep.
lol you mean wait TEN MONTHS

Oh yeah!
I have not started 3 yet. Out of protest, you see.

it's great being able to anticipate all the wonders that await you
IFT!

Oh Sweet Jesus. Hank was just almost killed by the terrifying Mexican bros and right at the end when he blew the guys brains out I literally shot up off the couch, threw my fists in the air and said "YEAH!". OMG THAT WAS SO TENSE.
― wolf kabob (ENBB), Monday, 9 April 2012 00:32 (fourteen years ago)
YES. That is one of the all-time great television moments.

So jealous of you, getting to experience this for the first time!

And then getting to read through this entire thread w/o fear of spoilers!
Too late to vote in the "Favourite Breaking Bad 'HOLY SHIT!' Moment" tho

...Moment POLL", that is
― Race Against Rockism (Myonga Vön Bontee), Monday, 9 April 2012 01:49 (fourteen years ago)
E, you have at least three more such moments and you have yet to hit what is generally acknowledged to be the high point of the series
― wrapped sausage stylus (forksclovetofu), Monday, 9 April 2012 01:52 (fourteen years ago)

The scary Mexican who survived jumped out of the hospital bed and started pulling himself across the floor towards Walt and there was a trail of blood and THOSE EYES and IT WAS HORRIBLE.
― wolf kabob (ENBB), Tuesday, 10 April 2012 01:14 (fourteen years ago)
hah!!!
― Nhex, Tuesday, 10 April 2012 01:49 (fourteen years ago)
On to the next one!
― wolf kabob (ENBB), Tuesday, 10 April 2012 01:54 (fourteen years ago)
Hey, the guy who was in Election and played Matthew Broderick's teacher friend who was screwing T Flick is in this ep. He's Hank's doctor.
― wolf kabob (ENBB), Tuesday, 10 April 2012 02:08 (fourteen years ago)
Well this fly episode sure blows.
― wolf kabob (ENBB), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 01:39 (fourteen years ago)
aw, E! you're disappointing me here!
― boy, was that Dan Fielding hungry for some cake! (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 01:47 (fourteen years ago)
(for the record, fans of the show are generally split in their response to that ep: either it's a classic or it blows depending on who you ask)
― boy, was that Dan Fielding hungry for some cake! (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 01:48 (fourteen years ago)
Sorry. :/ It got a bit better but the first half was exceptionally annoying.
― wolf kabob (ENBB), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 01:49 (fourteen years ago)
fwiw i dont have a lot of patience for the fly episode either, its not exactly playing to the shows strengths
― Lamp, Wednesday, 11 April 2012 01:49 (fourteen years ago)
Yeah, exactly.
― wolf kabob (ENBB), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 01:50 (fourteen years ago)
"Fly" is v irritating up until the last 10 minutes.
― get me bloodied (Eric H.), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 02:17 (fourteen years ago)
I was more forgiving of fly knowing it was driven by budgetary constraints and not because they thought waiting for godot in a meth lab was agl
liked the end a lot but then again I'm a sucker for don't-you-see SYMBOLISM
― diamanda ram dass (Edward III), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 02:33 (fourteen years ago)
budgetary constraints
interesting!
― wolf kabob (ENBB), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 02:35 (fourteen years ago)
Yeah, that's pretty much the rationale behind every bottle episode ever. If the entire ep of a show takes place in a single location, chances are they're saving up cash for showier eps.
― 1 of paper = 4 of coin (Deric W. Haircare), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 02:37 (fourteen years ago)
x-post - I didn't realize.
lol Bob Odenkirk kills me sometimes
― wolf kabob (ENBB), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 02:38 (fourteen years ago)
Budgetary constraints are no excuse. That's when the writers need to turn up their game the most!
― get me bloodied (Eric H.), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 02:47 (fourteen years ago)
self-referential bottle episode of Community was phenomenal for example
though i'm kind of in the middle on "Fly", not sure if the great last section makes up for having to get through the rest of it
― Nhex, Wednesday, 11 April 2012 02:48 (fourteen years ago)
i thought fly was fantastic and plays to the shows strengths v well, especially its excellence in physical comedy
― these pretzels are makeing me horney (Hungry4Ass), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 02:51 (fourteen years ago)
iirc i hated the fly episode until it was over and i could fully digest it
― ♆ (gr8080), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 02:57 (fourteen years ago)
haha i dont think i ever watched the whole thing
― Lamp, Wednesday, 11 April 2012 02:59 (fourteen years ago)
It definitely got better as it went on. I can't stop watching this damn show.
― wolf kabob (ENBB), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 03:00 (fourteen years ago)
agreed with canks; not sure how this DOESN'T play to show's strengths: tight scripting, virtuoso direction, one-on-one acting, slapstick, etc
― boy, was that Dan Fielding hungry for some cake! (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 03:01 (fourteen years ago)
this show is mostly p bad at dialogue and restraint imo
― Lamp, Wednesday, 11 April 2012 03:02 (fourteen years ago)
all that terrible breaking bad dialogue
― diamanda ram dass (Edward III), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 03:16 (fourteen years ago)
yes
― Lamp, Wednesday, 11 April 2012 03:19 (fourteen years ago)
Could take a page from the Revenge book on dialogue and restraint amirite
― 1 of paper = 4 of coin (Deric W. Haircare), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 03:21 (fourteen years ago)

― mh, Wednesday, 11 April 2012 14:54 (fourteen years ago)
As bottle episodes go Fly is good, but Four Days Out from season two is better.
― Ashes, Pits of Ashes (leavethecapital), Wednesday, 11 April 2012 23:51 (fourteen years ago)
Just finished season 4 last night. THE INTENSITY.

Walter H. White: And, and bring me, bring me brake pads. The front wheels should have discs. Take them off and bring them to me. Jesse Pinkman: Alright, brake pads. Okay. What are we building? Walter H. White: You said it yourself. Jesse Pinkman: A robot?
