Little mad at the ending of that season too. After all that foreshadowing of the accident in the credits all they leave you with is floating teddy bear?! Not cool BB, not cool. At least I know I can just watch the next tonight. I'd have been pissed if I'd watched this in real time and had to wait a whole week for the next ep.

Oh Sweet Jesus. Hank was just almost killed by the terrifying Mexican bros and right at the end when he blew the guys brains out I literally shot up off the couch, threw my fists in the air and said "YEAH!". OMG THAT WAS SO TENSE.

I was more forgiving of fly knowing it was driven by budgetary constraints and not because they thought waiting for godot in a meth lab was agl

Yeah, that's pretty much the rationale behind every bottle episode ever. If the entire ep of a show takes place in a single location, chances are they're saving up cash for showier eps.

Budgetary constraints are no excuse. That's when the writers need to turn up their game the most!

self-referential bottle episode of Community was phenomenal for example

though i'm kind of in the middle on "Fly", not sure if the great last section makes up for having to get through the rest of it

i thought fly was fantastic and plays to the shows strengths v well, especially its excellence in physical comedy

iirc i hated the fly episode until it was over and i could fully digest it

agreed with canks; not sure how this DOESN'T play to show's strengths: tight scripting, virtuoso direction, one-on-one acting, slapstick, etc

As bottle episodes go Fly is good, but Four Days Out from season two is better.
