That scene was great, but I think it was a desperate move to prove something to herself. I hope Tyrion pisses Joffrey and Cersei off a lot.

And god, I was hoping for a repeat of the Tyrion slapping scene, but the little POS Joff started throwing his weight around OMG, it made me feel almost bad for her.

That scene was great, but I think it was a desperate move to prove something to herself.

I want to say more, but I'll just say that it's the show making a meta-point about power; the viewers are going to be well-acquainted with the "knowledge is power" cliche, but when you've got mindlessly obedient guards with you, then that's just a cliche and nothing more.

I got that vibe, but as it happened soon after her getting a talking down by Joffrey I assumed that part of it had to do with her trying to prove herself.

Before watching this episode I hadn't really anticipated how much I'd enjoy the Dragonstone crew and their antics, but now I'm sure they'll be my favorite part of the season.

Stannis and Davos are both spot on, though Melisandre could be a bit scarier.

Only just realised in this one that King's Landing is clearly Dubrovnik.

Melisandre's a lot younger than I pictured

Also sad to see her ruby doesn't shine as much as I thought it would when she drinks poisoned wine :(

Yeah def thought Melisandre was ... subdued. I think what the show runners are thinking is if they make her too obviously EVIL upon meeting her you'd wonder why anyone around Stannis would support him, rather than fleeing or rushing her with knives.

Joffrey-kid should hang out with Draco-kid

they're gonna have to do what Papa Malfoy did for Awake and only accept roles where they can stipulate that the character has super dark hair
