Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Friday, 28 November 2003 19:48 (twenty-two years ago)

two months pass...
Noodles and I ran into Chuck Tatum at The Green Room last night (and we hope he had fun with his dancing afterward!)

Kim (Kim), Monday, 2 February 2004 02:19 (twenty-two years ago)

arch, I fucking hate that guy....

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Monday, 2 February 2004 02:25 (twenty-two years ago)

;)

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Monday, 2 February 2004 02:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I bumped into Andrew NF at Aphex Twin last week, as it happens. Damn fine gig it was too.

Trayce (trayce), Monday, 2 February 2004 02:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Hi! Hope as was well at the Tranzac.

I'm still too scared to post my dream about Sean.

I see a picture of @d@m hoisting a barbecue fork on my wall everytime before I sleep. Aww.

Chuck Tatum (Chuck Tatum), Monday, 2 February 2004 02:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh yeah! The Sean Dream!!! You have to post that. HAVE TO. Tranzac was quite smokey, so we ducked out early.

Kim (Kim), Monday, 2 February 2004 04:17 (twenty-two years ago)

OH god, the Sean Dream. I need photoshop more then ever now.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Monday, 2 February 2004 04:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 2 February 2004 05:33 (twenty-two years ago)

See the "fun" you miss when you don't come drinking with your fellow ilxors?

Kim (Kim), Monday, 2 February 2004 05:48 (twenty-two years ago)

We even got our beer in under 30 minutes there.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Monday, 2 February 2004 06:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 2 February 2004 06:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Tom and I ran into Nabisco at his workplace tonight. Tom was looking through CDs (he discovered some sort of meringue Kraftwerk covers album) and I had just been attacked by a kitten on the street. I didn't tell Nabisco about that.

Allyzay, Monday, 2 February 2004 06:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm guessing this:

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 2 February 2004 06:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha yeah that's it!

Allyzay, Monday, 2 February 2004 06:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Heh, he might as well be! (He's this German ambient techno dude who moved to Chile/married a Chilean/something and got this idea...)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 2 February 2004 07:01 (twenty-two years ago)

What's the deal with the Green Room? Last weekend we were getting super-fast service there. On a crowded night too.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Monday, 2 February 2004 07:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned, do you have this album? Is it good? Tom took it with him and I didn't hear it priorhand. I don't care actually, I'm going to play it on my radio show anyway.

Allyzay, Monday, 2 February 2004 07:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I like it a lot! For a lot of people I think the joke got old but if you don't overplay the damn thing it always sounds good whenever you drag it out every so often -- it's all recognizably the original songs but just delivered in a slew of different Latin American styles. Try "Showroom Dummies" for a start.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 2 February 2004 07:19 (twenty-two years ago)

what/when's your radio show, Ally?

M Matos (M Matos), Monday, 2 February 2004 07:20 (twenty-two years ago)

what matos said

cinniblount (James Blount), Monday, 2 February 2004 07:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll make a new thread for it tomorrow, I don't know what time it is going to be at right now, I have to go into the office tomorrow.

Allyzay, Monday, 2 February 2004 07:27 (twenty-two years ago)

well, if I'm in the right place and I can get the right stream format (work only has windows media, and I can't install anything else)

Ed (dali), Monday, 2 February 2004 07:36 (twenty-two years ago)

matos - http://www.columbia.edu/cu/wkcr/ - i'm pretty sure it's the sunday 8:30 - 9:00 pm one.

cinniblount (James Blount), Monday, 2 February 2004 07:39 (twenty-two years ago)

cookie and I were sighted, in a random and impromptu manner, on friday night.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 2 February 2004 09:24 (twenty-two years ago)

hott! Ally roxorz the airwaves!

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Monday, 2 February 2004 09:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I think the owners realized that they make more money when people are actually served food and drink.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Monday, 2 February 2004 14:13 (twenty-two years ago)

cookie and I were sighted, in a random and impromptu manner, on friday night.

By each other?

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 2 February 2004 18:51 (twenty-two years ago)

i was sighted in a random and impromptu manner too.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 2 February 2004 20:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Weekend before last, I ran into Nick and Sarah at a Todd Barry stand-up show (apparently, we both knew the opening comic).

jaymc (jaymc), Monday, 2 February 2004 21:01 (twenty-two years ago)

www.wbar.org - Columbia's "real" radio station is godawful. My show is Tuesdays, 10-12 NYC time (not starting this week though)

Allyzay, Monday, 2 February 2004 21:03 (twenty-two years ago)

This sounds like much promising rock. :-) But surely Ally will have to play *gasp* INDIE?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 2 February 2004 22:52 (twenty-two years ago)

If the playlist doesn't alternate the greatest Spice Girls singles with "This Corrosion" and [insert Manics song here], I will cry.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 2 February 2004 22:56 (twenty-two years ago)

My show is Tuesdays, 10-12 NYC time (not starting this week though)

Haha, the current listing for this timeslot is "Travelin' by Train w/Ned". Coincidence? I think not.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 2 February 2004 23:00 (twenty-two years ago)

so that'll be 3-5am over here, blimX0r...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Monday, 2 February 2004 23:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha, the current listing for this timeslot is "Travelin' by Train w/Ned". Coincidence? I think not.

My influence is everywhere!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 2 February 2004 23:14 (twenty-two years ago)

"influence"

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 2 February 2004 23:19 (twenty-two years ago)

10-12am or pm?

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Monday, 2 February 2004 23:21 (twenty-two years ago)

"influence"

PERVERTALIST.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 2 February 2004 23:23 (twenty-two years ago)

The woman opposite me on the train today was an absolute spit of Teeny, only after eating some pies. She even wore the same clothes (albeit stretched by the pies).

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 3 February 2004 14:36 (twenty-two years ago)

mmmm pie!

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 3 February 2004 15:32 (twenty-two years ago)

You brandish your racy metabolism in my face for the last time!

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 3 February 2004 15:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I am NOT playing indie rock. They've seen my proposed playlist. If they had issues with Captain Sensible, they should've said so.

And the time is 10 in the MORNING not at night, sorry for that confusion. What is that UK time, 3pm? But it hasn't started yet!

Allyzay, Tuesday, 3 February 2004 17:21 (twenty-two years ago)

And the time is 10 in the MORNING not at night

Bah, given my work schedule that means I'll never be able to hear it! Ah well, I will send good thoughts from afar. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 3 February 2004 18:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Saw Momus at Club Transmediale in Berlin Monday night, but did not have an opportunity to introduce myself. Sorry.

Colin Meeder (Mert), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 12:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I wasn't talking of you, cozen, but another c-word/name.

haha, maybe you don't count, anymore!

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I bumped into Tico kind of by accident in Islington on Friday. He was listening to his walkman.

Me: "Oh, what are you listening to Mr Tico?"
TT: "Tarzan Boy".

He's never off-duty, that one.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 13:24 (twenty-two years ago)

i never seem to bump into anyone despite lurking around Islington quite regularly now
