The Hollywood Reporter has broken word that the upcoming, live action, big screen reboot of the popular characters has been shut down, with Paramount pulling the plug and laying off the Vancouver based staff who had already been hard at work on pre-production. At issue, apparently, is a script that the studio had no confidence in.

In middle school, some sort of schoolyard fight broke (though I don't recall it getting too violent -- may have just been an intense showdown) and I led a chant of "Go Ninja, go Ninja, Go!" that caught on with the group that was circled around watching the fight.

My guess is there just weren't as many marketing tie-ins available for the premise

Bay prob didn't articulate that you can tell the turtles apart by which color headbands its wearing, thus children will, indeed, need to buy four different turtle toys at every opportunity
