while thinking about boobs

Fozzy Osbourne (contenderizer), Monday, 26 March 2012 06:25 (fourteen years ago)

dangerously close to something I'd do w/o Mad Men tbh

Kiarostami bag (milo z), Monday, 26 March 2012 06:28 (fourteen years ago)

let me rephrase: I can start Justified or Breaking Bad from the beginning, or Mad Men from S2 on - which do I do?

Kiarostami bag (milo z), Monday, 26 March 2012 06:28 (fourteen years ago)

Justified is great, but not in the league of Mad Men or Breaking Bad imo. I think I slightly prefer MM to BB, but it could go either way. As the final season of Breaking Bad (broken up into two parts, mind) starts airing this year, you should probably go with that one. Mad Men has another two years after this one for you to catch up.

banana republic might have some trouble selling/marketing the 1966 stuff to its target audience. although it'll do fine in other places that don't capitalize on drabness.

Fwiw I would totally buy Joan's dress in this episode.

pete's old office is very telegenic. harry doesn't deserve those blue walls and that cool furniture.

ralphs vons williams (get bent), Monday, 26 March 2012 12:57 (fourteen years ago)

milo - at least start with season 3 of mad men which is the best to date. don't skip it. (i don't think skipping first two seasons is as big a deal.)

Mordy, Monday, 26 March 2012 13:30 (fourteen years ago)

Harry giving Don the silver-tipped walking cane.
"Don Ameche has one!"

lolololol

Peppermint Patty Hearst (VegemiteGrrl), Monday, 26 March 2012 13:46 (fourteen years ago)

Honestly it took me a while to get used to the nothing-happening/significant glances thing after so long away.

And there were a couple of times where I was like, TWO HOURS of this? Really?

I love the show but jeeeeeeeeeeeeeez louise.

Peppermint Patty Hearst (VegemiteGrrl), Monday, 26 March 2012 13:47 (fourteen years ago)

This episode was hilarious!

Cuba Pudding, Jr. (jaymc), Monday, 26 March 2012 13:53 (fourteen years ago)

I loved how funny it was, I wasn't ready for any heavy drama at the beginning of the season. Also, I was happy with the lack of Betty Draper.

Respectfully, Tyrese Gibson (Nicole), Monday, 26 March 2012 14:18 (fourteen years ago)

yeah for real

didn't do that much for me tbh but it's all setup anyway I guess

dmr, Monday, 26 March 2012 14:37 (fourteen years ago)

It was awfully slow

L'ennui, cette maladie de tous les (Michael White), Monday, 26 March 2012 14:46 (fourteen years ago)

Well slow is what we expect by now, no?

Nicholas Pokémon (silby), Monday, 26 March 2012 14:51 (fourteen years ago)

i was riveted. i don't even notice the slowness on this show; i think my brain adapted several seasons ago.

ralphs vons williams (get bent), Monday, 26 March 2012 14:54 (fourteen years ago)

Oh Harry.

I wish to incorporate disco into my small business (chap), Monday, 26 March 2012 15:05 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah no kidding, what's his deal? Other than apparently being a wife-swapping libertine whenever he's out of the office.

Nicholas Pokémon (silby), Monday, 26 March 2012 15:12 (fourteen years ago)

He's slimmed down a little in the time off, right?

Johnny Fever, Monday, 26 March 2012 15:20 (fourteen years ago)

I don't know why, but it struck me funny that Duck had five different contacts in Don's rolodex.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 26 March 2012 15:22 (fourteen years ago)

can't wait til they write Freddy Mercury out of this show like they did with Betty

Harry and Pete are like two sides of a pathetic coin; Harry's the passive pathetic guy, and Pete's the aggressive pathetic guy.

I can't decide who I enjoy more, but both of them give me so much secondhand embarrassment, it's just great to watch

Peppermint Patty Hearst (VegemiteGrrl), Monday, 26 March 2012 15:42 (fourteen years ago)

I love Pete these days.

I kind of wish he'd taken it outside with Roger. I knew he wouldn't because it's not his steez AT ALL, but it would have been great to have seen a sidewalk dustup between them.

Peppermint Patty Hearst (VegemiteGrrl), Monday, 26 March 2012 15:46 (fourteen years ago)

Fingers crossed that it's still coming.

Megan is so ridiculously pretty but I still get the BWAHAHAH FREDDY MERCURY giggles when she flashes her choppers

Peppermint Patty Hearst (VegemiteGrrl), Monday, 26 March 2012 15:47 (fourteen years ago)

Oh, that was wtf Shakey Mo was talking about this time.

Yeah, that was great.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 26 March 2012 16:05 (fourteen years ago)

Nicholas Pokémon (silby), Monday, 26 March 2012 16:08 (fourteen years ago)

i think he's going to singlehandedly stop the vietnam war. REALITY SPLIT.

A Little Princess btw (s1ocki), Monday, 26 March 2012 16:08 (fourteen years ago)

the sir edmund hillary of sitting through pauly shore films (Shakey Mo Collier), Monday, 26 March 2012 16:08 (fourteen years ago)

Trudy taking the wrong side of the protest conversation was very much in character, but still funny.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 26 March 2012 16:12 (fourteen years ago)

Pete Campbell is the stealth liberal we all always thought he was.

Nicholas Pokémon (silby), Monday, 26 March 2012 16:12 (fourteen years ago)

Don's "so hire one" at the end seemed like it shoulda been Pete's line

the sir edmund hillary of sitting through pauly shore films (Shakey Mo Collier), Monday, 26 March 2012 16:13 (fourteen years ago)

When the job applicants all showed up in the lobby I actually shouted at the TV, "Well what did you THINK would happen?"

Peppermint Patty Hearst (VegemiteGrrl), Monday, 26 March 2012 16:14 (fourteen years ago)

what was that amazing music playing when Kiernan Shipka woke up and went to Don and Megan's room

the sir edmund hillary of sitting through pauly shore films (Shakey Mo Collier), Monday, 26 March 2012 16:18 (fourteen years ago)

ya that was cool

A Little Princess btw (s1ocki), Monday, 26 March 2012 16:20 (fourteen years ago)

A Little Princess btw (s1ocki), Monday, 26 March 2012 16:20 (fourteen years ago)

Peppermint Patty Hearst (VegemiteGrrl), Monday, 26 March 2012 16:27 (fourteen years ago)
