congrats tiger but this is a terrible fucking image - what's it doing on ESPN's front page? I lol'd

dayo, Sunday, 25 March 2012 22:49 (fourteen years ago)

what's wrong with that pic?

been to lots of college and twitter (k3vin k.), Sunday, 25 March 2012 23:06 (fourteen years ago)

it looks like it was taken w/ a cell phone camera - look at the black-sharpie outline on his face - you would expect far better from the pro photographers that ESPN hires

tiger, chillwave champ

yah as just a general 'picture' I actually think it's nice and lo-fi and p sweet, bright pastels & so washed out

dayo, Sunday, 25 March 2012 23:21 (fourteen years ago)

Saw some early Masters odds this morning: Tiger 9-2, McIlroy 5-1, Mickelson 10-1. As much as I'd love to see Tiger win, if I were betting, I'd take McIlroy in a second at 5-1.

johnny crunch, Thursday, 14 June 2012 22:29 (fourteen years ago)

Didn't get to see anything today, but nice position for Tiger. I'm a little surprised he was the betting favourite going in (from a rational standpoint--I understand the sentiment).

clemenza, Thursday, 14 June 2012 22:50 (fourteen years ago)

course looks hard as hell but a lotta guys are playin like shit also

johnny crunch, Thursday, 14 June 2012 22:58 (fourteen years ago)

I'm rooting for Tiger, but this is ridiculous (intentionally so, I suppose--I'm talking about it, right?):

rick reilly said on air 'i don't see how he can lose' but u know, it's rick reilly

johnny crunch, Friday, 15 June 2012 02:35 (fourteen years ago)

that is nonsense. I could see someone, even someone in really good form like tiger is, hitting a 78/79 on this course. It's murderous.

pandemic, Friday, 15 June 2012 09:54 (fourteen years ago)

ludicrous alright. looking fwd to watching this, unbelievable weekend of sport ahead.

Got in late, so I only caught the last two or three holes. All credit to Tiger for grabbing a share of the lead--great chip on 17. (Did the announcers ever nail it on everybody missing that put left.) I'll be happy if Tiger heads into Sunday no worse than a couple strokes out. They just showed that chart of him winning eight of nine majors where he lead or co-lead after 36. But notice that the one loss was the most recent example, the '09 PGA. To count him as a strong favourite at this point--as opposed to being very much in the mix--just seems to ignore all that's happened the last year-plus, and instead put a lot of faith into one rather miraculous chip-in at Memorial. Furyk, McDowell, Choi, any of these guys can win. I hope Tiger does it.

clemenza, Saturday, 16 June 2012 01:37 (fourteen years ago)

am shocked mcdowell is there, dudes been playing like shit prior 2 this. maybe hes turning into david toms who only brings it in majors

johnny crunch, Saturday, 16 June 2012 01:41 (fourteen years ago)

I just picked some familiar names off the leaderboard...I figure if you're right there going into the weekend, you've got a chance. But you're right, it matters how you've been playing lately.

clemenza, Saturday, 16 June 2012 01:44 (fourteen years ago)
