Has anyone tried the Kim Chi Fried Rice? I'm curious as to how spicy it is.

That had little samples the other day and it was pretty yummy. It wasn't exceptionally spicy. I didn't buy a bag because I know I would just eat the whole thing by myself in one sitting.

was the TJ branded vintage ale mentioned upthread? tasty, wonder if anybody will actually buy it and let it age a few years before drinking.

Just made this kimchee fried rice, better than the TJ's stuff imo.

I don't understand why TJ's doesn't just get a good coffee producer to make like one decent blend for them. IDK, Jim's Organic, Larry's, someone who makes good coffee but isn't as trendy right now as Stumptown and Intelligentsia. I'd pay more for it, even regular high-end coffee price, just to have it as a one-stop-shopping thing and not have to go somewhere else every time I need beans.

The dark chocolate candy bar w/speculoos butter is YUMMY. Even though I *still* can't stop thinking that it sounds like it's made of ground speculums.

if you enjoy mango chile fruit floes, they are now 49cents for a pack of four (regularly $2)
i don't even like em that much but it's 49 cents so i got like three, and even though the chile adds a strong spice,
you know what's a stronger spice? BARGAIN.

If I see them that cheap, I'll probably just buy a stand alone freezer so I can fill it up with them.

pretty much hate you guys for putting the idea of the thai chili lime peanuts in my head because:
1. they are delicious
2. they are 180 calories per serving
3. there are 15 (!!) servings per bag?

I'm still enjoying the frozen rise-overnight croissants a lot. They're delicious for tiny frozen croissants.

Mango cream bars are good. But very tiny.

vegetable pakoras are yum. a bit of heat with a nice long finish.

I got the lemon scented kitchen hand soap. The lemon smells like a food additive rather than something that would be used in a lotion or soap. But at least it isn't harsh and drying; I don't think it's warm enough for that yet.

Frozen fusilli w/ pesto and veggies was good but not great.

I can't get enough of the turkey meatballs! They are shockingly good.

is this new 'hazelnut chocolate' spread actually rebadged nutella?

i think their chickenless mandarin chicken and breaded chickenless tenders are actually gardein products - but at half the price.

I liked the chickenless tenders but man, they were really oily after baking in the toaster oven.

OK, I will be in TJs in an hour or so, I am low-carbing as mentioned on another thread, and I need a good snack. If I eat another package of buffalo chicken meatballs I will likely turn orange. ADVISE ME ILE.

is chocolate a carb? the chocolate-covered almonds with turbine? salt seem to be cheaper than even plain roasted almonds (but it could be they put it in a subtly smaller carton).

chocolate usually has tons of sugar and almonds have some carbs of their own, but i'll check the label

couldn't find any bread -- ended up dipping a nature valley granola bar in it. it had more of a jam consistency than i expected but it was still delicious. i wonder if i can freeze the peanut butter by itself and make a peanut butter bar...

Frozen palak paneer if you want something hot. Cheese and various salumi for something cold. The super high % dark chocolate bars aren't too bad w/r/t carbs if you can limit yourself to eating 2 or 3 sections. Avocados.

The frozen paneer is great too. Certainly the best prepackaged version I've had.

not low-carb, but: the raisin-rosemary crisps are amazing. i wish i was having a party soon so i could pass these around.

I am a big fan of the frozen palak paneer

most of these suggestions came too late, will try next time, esp wasabi seaweed snax which sounds amazing. In fact I didn't really get much snack except artichoke-parmesan dip, but I did get a tri-tip roast and a tub of hollandaise sauce and I gotta say this made a fine family meal with very little expenditure of effort on my part.

I like to put this on these bagel-based "power bar" things they sell in my supermarket's bakery - they've got dried fruit and seeds in them, it works really well.

Alternately just spread it on some saltines but keep a bucket of water handy cause you'll be thirsty.
