I loved that he had the singers on retainer, they were cracking me up

I saw the clip of the proposal as a teaser and somehow it gets funnier every time I see or think about it

tv trope 101 is that HE does it to get a huge amount of attention to something HE is doing for someone else.

I think this about any person who organizes a big public proposal. It's gross.

Tonight's episode was brilliant. Started out slightly meh, but soon went galactic.

I'm a little intrigued: normally, there is plenty of discussion after a Community ep so I might not be the only one who feels this way.

i dunno about that second half.

That was just self-parody: not about a community college study group, not about advancing the characters' relationships, not about anything except the show's own tropes. The characters were just weak caricatures of themselves.

Guys Chang was pretty awful this episode, but I liked the rest of it! The bit with Troy and Abed in the bedroom was kinda sweet and touching! lolled hard at the meta evil twin thing

Chang was the worst part but I also thought the whole premise of Abed being addicted to renting celebrity impersonators was dumb and self-parodic (as I may have alluded to) and completely unengaging. Same with the way the Jeff plot was handled: the way his narcissism was dealt with in e.g. the pottery class episode worked so much better. This was so heavy-handed.
