Wait - what? How did that happen? Do City have even more?

Wolves have 9 games left this season.

Berbatov's off then. Who wants him?

Number None, Sunday, 18 March 2012 23:24 (fourteen years ago)

someone who plays football

The term “hipster racism” from Carmen Van Kerckhove at Racialicious (nakhchivan), Sunday, 18 March 2012 23:35 (fourteen years ago)

in a bit of a mood today?

Number None, Sunday, 18 March 2012 23:37 (fourteen years ago)

Despite Berbatov's advancing years, Danchev underlined his client's desire to remain in a competitive league.

He added: "Dimitar will most probably leave England but he doesn't want to move to the U.S., Japan, United Arab Emirates or championships like these."

= SWANSEA

im afraid dimi is an ilx sacred cow & ferguson, rightly or wrongly, has to be the venal cur who underfed him

The term “hipster racism” from Carmen Van Kerckhove at Racialicious (nakhchivan), Sunday, 18 March 2012 23:42 (fourteen years ago)

I think his salary might upset Swansea's delicate came from lower leagues all in this together balance.

A BIG JOE JORDAN TYPE OF POSTER (onimo), Sunday, 18 March 2012 23:42 (fourteen years ago)

oh yes, i'm well aware of Berbatov's exalted status on here. It even transcends his actual contributions on the pitch

Number None, Sunday, 18 March 2012 23:45 (fourteen years ago)

theyre in the big leagues now which means they pretty much have to overpay for indulgent 31 yr old flair players until their salary bill reaches 130% of turnover and theyre in administration before 2014

The term “hipster racism” from Carmen Van Kerckhove at Racialicious (nakhchivan), Sunday, 18 March 2012 23:46 (fourteen years ago)

his actual contributions on the pitch

i.e. a goal every two games for club and country for his entire career, pretty much

A BIG JOE JORDAN TYPE OF POSTER (onimo), Sunday, 18 March 2012 23:48 (fourteen years ago)

yes, it's sadly inevitable that Rodgers and Lambert will be asked if they can do the same next season on the same budget and they'll both say no (rightly) and need three or four players including a "proven goalscorer" - such is the way of second seasons in the top flight :(

A BIG JOE JORDAN TYPE OF POSTER (onimo), Sunday, 18 March 2012 23:50 (fourteen years ago)

dimi is kinda singular and just wasnt cut out for playing alongside drones like park giggs valencia etc

he never rly worked with twp either, but his overall scoring record isnt bad considering how deep he played and how incredibly slow he is these days

The term “hipster racism” from Carmen Van Kerckhove at Racialicious (nakhchivan), Sunday, 18 March 2012 23:50 (fourteen years ago)

the criticism that he filled up against the minnows is unfair given that he wasnt usually played vs the big teams (understandably) and hernandez and twp are doing the same vs the heaps of shite at the lower end of the table

The term “hipster racism” from Carmen Van Kerckhove at Racialicious (nakhchivan), Sunday, 18 March 2012 23:53 (fourteen years ago)

he's deceptively slow, you think he's going to be deceptively quick but he isn't - I think that helps him. Somehow.

A BIG JOE JORDAN TYPE OF POSTER (onimo), Sunday, 18 March 2012 23:53 (fourteen years ago)

I actually like Berbatov. I don't always agree with the ILF aesthetes' unquestioning worship of certain players though

Number None, Sunday, 18 March 2012 23:55 (fourteen years ago)

by which i mean, i suppose, that it should be enough that ferguson wastes the best years of one of the premium talents of european football through a natural/common septegenarian mistrust of the artistry of a genius in the ranks at the height of his masculinity and power without NN and other disciples of the gorbals gangster rewriting the history of the previous few years in an attempt to justify it.

deconstructive witticism (darraghmac), Sunday, 18 March 2012 23:55 (fourteen years ago)

there were times where he just looked lazy tbh i mean we gotta be at least slightly h here

Tbf one of Swansea's less-heralded achievements this season is un-Jonah-ing Wayne Routledge, so they've a bit of form in redeeming players who look to have shot their bolt in the top flight.

(cue them signing Stephen Hunt and Marlon King)

William Bloody Swygart, Monday, 19 March 2012 00:03 (fourteen years ago)

think i already mentioned we were fucked. surprised at utd taking their foot off the gas, there was another 5 goals or more waiting to be had yesterday. about 12 o'clock yesterday i suggested to our elliot that the best option wd be to nuke molineux and rebuild from there. good prospect for league 1 next year imo

Kony Montana: "Say hello to my invisible friend" (Noodle Vague), Monday, 19 March 2012 08:08 (fourteen years ago)

does yr elliot also support the family team?

a hoy hoy, Monday, 19 March 2012 08:13 (fourteen years ago)

tragically yes

Kony Montana: "Say hello to my invisible friend" (Noodle Vague), Monday, 19 March 2012 08:14 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, more than anyone else in recent years, even Portsmouth ffs, Wolves' plight has the air of you-ain't-coming-back about it.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 19 March 2012 08:21 (fourteen years ago)

ironically we'll be a going concern in the bottom flight too.

EVEN BOBBY CHARLTON AND GEORGE BEST WOULD HAVE SCORED FOR MAN UTD TODAY AGAINST OUR POOR TEAM AND ONE IS 75 AND THE OTHER HAS BEEN DEAD FOR 7 YEARS.

WOLVES MANAGEMENT ARE CLUELESS

Kony Montana: "Say hello to my invisible friend" (Noodle Vague), Monday, 19 March 2012 10:24 (fourteen years ago)

xpost But Wolves have been careful with wages, haven't they? One of the rare clubs that is in the black every year. On that basis, they'll be back.

Viva Brother Beyond (ithappens), Monday, 19 March 2012 11:18 (fourteen years ago)

we have been careful with wages, to the point where we don't seem able to afford premier league quality players

Kony Montana: "Say hello to my invisible friend" (Noodle Vague), Monday, 19 March 2012 11:19 (fourteen years ago)

That's the size of it, isn't it? If you're run within your means and competing, you're overachieving.

All this said, I still thought you'd stay up 'til the WBA game. Even keeping Mick you'd've'd a chance. Bolton are now the shouldn't-go-down club though who knows how their season will pan out now. NB assumption that Blackburn's 2-point cushion (and tbf better players) makes them pretty much safe already.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 19 March 2012 11:38 (fourteen years ago)

i thought bolton wd go down before Muamba took ill, think what happened on saturday makes it more likely but you never know how players will react. still: us 20th, wigan 19th, bolton 18th

qpr have got to find a win or two somewhere

red is hungry green is jawless (Noodle Vague), Monday, 19 March 2012 11:41 (fourteen years ago)

just realised i'm worried in case we do hold onto players when we go down
