I'm not writing him off or anything but he hasn't actually been a factor in Utd getting to the top of the table. They might not be impressing you but that's down to players like Evans, Carrick, Rooney and yes, the 37 year old.

'wingers' are more likely to be inside forwards / attacking mids who cut in with their stronger foot and/or go for the gap between fb and cb

there are a lot of talented players in these categories atm

yes, it's sadly inevitable that Rodgers and Lambert will be asked if they can do the same next season on the same budget and they'll both say no (rightly) and need three or four players including a "proven goalscorer" - such is the way of second seasons in the top flight :(
