Prrrrretty sure I called off work and spent part of the day watching Breaking Bad at least once.

there was always a terrible sense of dread going into each new episode, i would put off seeing the latest one for like 2 weeks sometimes.

― TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Wednesday, 14 March 2012 10:14 (fourteen years ago)
Yeah, I am sure I have mentioned on this thread how I would watch some episodes from another room, peeking around the corner at the TV. It was too intense for direct input.
― carl agatha, Wednesday, 14 March 2012 12:30 (fourteen years ago)
yeah there's just so much tension in this show that watching more than 2 episodes in a row would just be too exhausting
― silverfish, Wednesday, 14 March 2012 13:56 (fourteen years ago)

I was shocked to discover that Walt, Jr. had been faking his disability all this time to cover up the fact that he had mutant superpowers.
― carl agatha, Wednesday, 14 March 2012 17:19 (fourteen years ago)
Well, let's not exaggerate too much. They aren't mutant powers per se, as they developed after Walt, Jr. tried some of the radioactive meth Walt cooked up for the C.H.U.D.s who saved him from Tezcatlipoca's panther men.

I mean...that's an awesome part of the series, but I hope your coworker isn't as thrown as we all were when Bryan Cranston left immediately before that and was replaced by Ed Kowalczyk.

― I wish to incorporate disco into my small business (chap), Friday, 16 March 2012 17:02 (fourteen years ago)
the whole airplane bit in S2 drags it down for me
amazed by how much is packed into the last 2 eps of S3, when I rewatched them it felt like a season's worth of stuff was jammed in there. final scene of S3 is the moral black hole of the entire series.
― diamanda ram dass (Edward III), Friday, 16 March 2012 17:07 (fourteen years ago)
So far...
I didn't mind the airplane stuff.
― I wish to incorporate disco into my small business (chap), Friday, 16 March 2012 17:09 (fourteen years ago)
Really find it confounding just how much BB fans hate the end of S2. It was a little bit of a cop-out after all the pre-credit teases, but I still think it was in line with the show's overall theme of consequence.
Not that it can even hope to compare, of course, to the last shot of S3, which is all-time.
Only three eps into S4 and there's a lot of plant, but so far middling payoff. I'm sorry, but I wanted Marie to be collateral damage two seasons ago, and now she's back on the klepto kick? Zzzzzzz.
― Eric H., Friday, 16 March 2012 17:11 (fourteen years ago)
i didnt love the S2 ending, but it was redeemed for me when they showed the fallout of it at the beginning of S3
― these pretzels are makeing me horney (Hungry4Ass), Friday, 16 March 2012 17:12 (fourteen years ago)
It's sort of strange to me that Aaron Paul won his Emmy for "Half Measure" and Bryan Cranston won for "Full Measure." I'd have switched the eps around.
― Eric H., Friday, 16 March 2012 17:14 (fourteen years ago)
I think most people would have been ok with the end of S2 if it wasn't for the misdirection from all those pre-credit sequences.
― silverfish, Friday, 16 March 2012 17:16 (fourteen years ago)
S4 > S3 > S2 > S1. And there aren't many shows I can say that about.
― Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Friday, 16 March 2012 17:24 (fourteen years ago)
Really can't wait for S4 to kick in, then.
― Eric H., Friday, 16 March 2012 17:26 (fourteen years ago)
all the seasons are basically equal to me since i marathoned the whole thing. its all just one big story to me, and it seems fairly consistent in tone
― these pretzels are makeing me horney (Hungry4Ass), Friday, 16 March 2012 17:27 (fourteen years ago)
no way is s4 better than s3... not even close.
― I'm going to allow this! (LocalGarda), Friday, 16 March 2012 17:30 (fourteen years ago)
I'm of the "they're all tied for first" mindset about seasons 1-3.
― Eric H., Friday, 16 March 2012 17:32 (fourteen years ago)
S4 and 3 are very close for me but S4 just had this exceptional pileup of "holy shit" moments. The end of 3 is way way better though, best cliffhanger ever.
― Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Friday, 16 March 2012 17:54 (fourteen years ago)
i'm never gonna argue with RUN but ZOMBIE GUS people
― Wesley Crusher: Teenage F#ck Machine (forksclovetofu), Friday, 16 March 2012 17:59 (fourteen years ago)
I didn't like Zombie Gus. RUN is obviously one of the greatest TV moments ever
― Number None, Friday, 16 March 2012 18:13 (fourteen years ago)
Zombie Gus was a tad ott for me - i'd have to side with "Run" in regards to individual scenes. can't pick a favourite season tho. they all rool.

The one plot point that really bugged me was how easily Gus got revenge on the cartel that killed his partner years earlier. I mean yeah I know he drank first to build trust, but like why would you knowingly drink something from someone that you don't fully trust (and that you know probably still hates you) without having someone else try it first.
kinda redeemed it though with Gus screaming at everybody that their boss was dead. that was badass.

I think we established earlier that if Zombie Gus had had a fully choreographed dance routine before he died + a catchphrase just as he dropped, forks would have thought it was "even better"
