I have met Yakubu several times, and was with him and Steven Pienaar shortly before they flew to South Africa at the world cup.

I remember an occasion with Joseph Yobo (Another player who has a questionable age) and we were all joking about Yakubu. Pienaar, who speaks a little Nigerian patois, turned to me, deadpan, and said Yakubu is at least 8 years older than him. Whether this is true is hard to know, but his age does not correlate with the length of his playing career.

That's all i can say.
