Dunno, thought the same about Elia and have yet to see him since, even in bench warming capacity.

Alex=big money signing. ORLY?

pandemic, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 14:45 (fourteen years ago)

oh shit they are trying to find a new Lionel Messi? Why did no other club think of that?

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:16 (fourteen years ago)

Podolski a done deal then?

Number None, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 20:54 (fourteen years ago)

Actually looks like it might be! It has been made public he's talking to Mertesacker about the club and moving to London.

Also Torres has supposedly gone 24 hours without scoring. A days worth of games!

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 21:22 (fourteen years ago)

Supposedly it was Jenkinson who threw up over our dugout btw.

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 21:23 (fourteen years ago)

lol the daily mail transfer rumours.

i mean this looks 80% spot on but i remember reading that over the summer they had a worse story-becomes-actual-transfer record than the sun and mirror combined.

fwiw it is a dickmove on the part of mertesacker to talk about it. i hate whenever the 'bigger' club have people come out and talk about players going to them. let him have his time at cologne without this shit in the papers, without the fans worrying about where his heads at etc. [arsenal fans really hate this shit when it is barca doing it to us for cesc or whoever, so for us to do it to the clubs below us shows we aren't learning.]

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 21:30 (fourteen years ago)

Messi doesn't go that long without a hat-trick.

A BIG JOE JORDAN TYPE OF POSTER (onimo), Wednesday, 7 March 2012 22:48 (fourteen years ago)

He probably has more hat tricks than Torres has goals in the last 12 months.

pandemic, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 22:52 (fourteen years ago)

I think he has 6? so yeah

Number None, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 22:55 (fourteen years ago)

that's this season actually

"We are interested in all good players. This is normal, but not only us. All the good teams are interested in Van Persie."

A BIG JOE JORDAN TYPE OF POSTER (onimo), Thursday, 8 March 2012 00:18 (fourteen years ago)

A quote that should have been made into a pollthread where I guess who said it/cry and everyone mocks me.

a hoy hoy, Thursday, 8 March 2012 00:21 (fourteen years ago)

ach it's not so bad he goes on to convince everyone that RVP will remain at Arsenal.

A BIG JOE JORDAN TYPE OF POSTER (onimo), Thursday, 8 March 2012 00:23 (fourteen years ago)

i was reading that in his cadences even before id reached the end of the quote

In a BBC exclusive, Manchester City's Mario Balotelli tells Noel Gallagher he has to mature after being fined for breaking curfew.

James Mitchell, Thursday, 8 March 2012 07:09 (fourteen years ago)

"Hi Mario, I'm Dan Walker from the BBC".

"Hello... wait... BBC? Journalist?"

"Yes".

"I do not like you already".

Jermaine Defoe has cocaine on his face. You're supposed to snort the stuff, not rub it into your skin, Jermaine.

James Mitchell, Thursday, 8 March 2012 08:43 (fourteen years ago)

City plan another raid on Arsenal if talks fail

Good luck in these 'talks', Arsenal

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 8 March 2012 09:45 (fourteen years ago)

the van persie money would be enough to buy torres or carroll though. perhaps both

Rosie 47 (ken c), Thursday, 8 March 2012 10:02 (fourteen years ago)

he's talking about Shaqeel van Persie's pocket money

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 8 March 2012 10:14 (fourteen years ago)

We could look up the og Denilson while we're at it.

a hoy hoy, Thursday, 8 March 2012 10:14 (fourteen years ago)

Carroll's been doing alright recently, time to shoehorn someone else into these gags I reckon

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 8 March 2012 10:16 (fourteen years ago)

nice try

pandemic, Thursday, 8 March 2012 10:19 (fourteen years ago)

Van Persie will be the next expensive flop

Number None, Thursday, 8 March 2012 10:22 (fourteen years ago)

injured on the first day at city? (hit by fireworks round at balotelli's)

Rosie 47 (ken c), Thursday, 8 March 2012 10:32 (fourteen years ago)

You're supposed to snort the stuff, not rub it into your skin, Jermaine.

I used to work with a guy who went to school with Jermain Defoe, who apparently was unable to label the eyes, nose, mouth and ears on a drawing of a face.

James Mitchell, Thursday, 8 March 2012 15:39 (fourteen years ago)

Man City are getting off remarkably lightly for dropping a massive transfer clanger with Nasri, who's basically done nothing of note other than annoyingly score against Spurs and is dining out off half a good season with Arsenal. Being top of the league helps I suppose, and City have otherwise had a really good record at integrating big-money signings.

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Thursday, 8 March 2012 15:46 (fourteen years ago)

yeah, having a squad full of dudes who are performing probably takes the heat off a lot. the whole situation is no torresgate

Nultified Ancients of Man U (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 8 March 2012 15:48 (fourteen years ago)

seven league assists

hes not been that bad

The term “hipster racism” from Carmen Van Kerckhove at Racialicious (nakhchivan), Thursday, 8 March 2012 15:50 (fourteen years ago)

I don't think Nasri's been bad as such, just quiet. He's done a few useful things iirc, not that I could name them.

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 8 March 2012 15:50 (fourteen years ago)

how many assists is Andy Carroll on now that he's performing really well?

Nultified Ancients of Man U (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 8 March 2012 15:51 (fourteen years ago)

Assists only count for teams capable of scoring from them.

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 8 March 2012 15:53 (fourteen years ago)

3 of Nasri's 7 assists in one match (Spurs in August). He's looked decent when I've seen him but feels maybe a bit redundant when both Silva and Aguero are playing.

boxall, Thursday, 8 March 2012 15:55 (fourteen years ago)

in that squad you're bound to have a bunch of guys who are perfectly capable players who aren't gonna get that many games

Nultified Ancients of Man U (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 8 March 2012 15:56 (fourteen years ago)

After Newcastle's game at home to Blackpool, Blackpool manager Ian Holloway described Carroll as the best striker in the Premier League.[54]

The term “hipster racism” from Carmen Van Kerckhove at Racialicious (nakhchivan), Thursday, 8 March 2012 15:56 (fourteen years ago)

Holloway was a long way over the shark by this point

Nultified Ancients of Man U (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 8 March 2012 15:57 (fourteen years ago)

Nasri was bought partly to stop him going to United, wasn't he? I'd imagine he'd have been worth a few points to them over the course of the season so it's money well spent for City.

Mohombi Khush Hua (ShariVari), Thursday, 8 March 2012 16:01 (fourteen years ago)

like he would have got in the team ahead of Giggs

Number None, Thursday, 8 March 2012 16:03 (fourteen years ago)

Nasri's been okay I think. Hardly what I'd call a massive transfer clanger anyway.

pandemic, Thursday, 8 March 2012 16:05 (fourteen years ago)

if they'd spent the money on Nasri they mightn't've been able to afford Giggs' monkey gland therapy

Nultified Ancients of Man U (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 8 March 2012 16:05 (fourteen years ago)

So, Podolski to Arsenal in the summer.
