Suarez claims another victim: http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/news/s/1487279_judge-blasts-luis-suarez-after-handshake-bust-up-with-patrice-evra-prompts-manchester-united-fan-to-assault-wife-in-eccles

“To blame Mr Suarez, in my view, illustrates your refusal to confront the real issue.”

Luomas (admrl), Monday, 5 March 2012 23:43 (fourteen years ago)

the manc wife beater Ryan Giggs is way beyond Suarez on the cunt scale, out there with Terry.

A BIG JOE JORDAN TYPE OF POSTER (onimo), Monday, 5 March 2012 23:46 (fourteen years ago)

how would Suarez be a role model for a Utd fan exactly? Stupid judge

"They have now Roberto Di Matteo in (temporary) charge, and I have to respect the manager in charge. I have to wait and (see) if something happens in the future. As a manager with experience in the Champions League, in Spain and in Italy, I am open to offers."

"Can anybody argue [against the fact] that the Liverpool fans love me? No," said Benítez. "If we agree with this, what do you want for somebody who you love? The best for him. I cannot be waiting at home for five years. Everybody understands that I will need a job."

Feel even worse for AVB after stories like this.

boxall, Tuesday, 6 March 2012 04:01 (fourteen years ago)

Just when you think these guys are running out of ways to be hateful. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be Ramires and Mata giving AVB a sarcastic wave at 8:59:58 every morning. Like managers getting all anal about punctuality is unique to him anyway.

The hint that any new manager will have his hands tied by Financial Fair Play is dead interesting though. Especially if they don't finish top four and have a mammoth rebuilding task off the back of Europa League income.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 6 March 2012 10:07 (fourteen years ago)

bbc site is annoying now it doesn't show fixtures in date order, i completely didn't see the fa cup games on tonight. and now i've made other plans :(

i know there were some questions a while back about where Run of Play's been. He (they?) have been posting some stuff recently at http://runofplay.tumblr.com/

Wolves’ Premier League survival hopes today suffered a major blow when midfielder Karl Henry was ruled out for three to four weeks.

amazing how much my opinion can differ from some cunt who gets paid to write about football

Pogba's off to Juventus. Maybe now we'll see whether he's any good.

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 08:46 (fourteen years ago)

Dunno, thought the same about Elia and have yet to see him since, even in bench warming capacity.

How did we miss news of NAMING RIGHTS SUPERMARKET RETAIL CHAIN?

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy added: “We are delighted that Sainsbury’s will become the supermarket provider in the Northumberland Development Project. This will be one of the largest supermarkets of its kind in London and will help bring a greater vibrancy and attract new trade to the area.”

James Mitchell, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 11:16 (fourteen years ago)

That's right, Daniel. Giant supermarkets are famed for the footfall they put through other shops in the same area. Not for driving other shops out of business.

Viva Brother Beyond (ithappens), Wednesday, 7 March 2012 11:28 (fourteen years ago)

Bet this replaces the hotel meant for the site.

James Mitchell, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 11:36 (fourteen years ago)

Uh oh:

Suarez and Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain top PSG's wish list for next season, following on from the recent big-money signings of Javier Pastore, Thiago Motta and Alex.

"We are already looking at the market for next season," Al-Khelaifi said. "We have clear targets in mind. It is true that we want Luis Suarez and Gonzalo Higuain. Our real short-term targets are to win the Champions League and find a new Lionel Messi."

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 14:35 (fourteen years ago)

aiming low with the short-term targets

Number None, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 14:38 (fourteen years ago)

I wonder what the long-term ones are?

Alex=big money signing. ORLY?

pandemic, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 14:45 (fourteen years ago)

oh shit they are trying to find a new Lionel Messi? Why did no other club think of that?

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 19:16 (fourteen years ago)

Podolski a done deal then?

Number None, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 20:54 (fourteen years ago)

Actually looks like it might be! It has been made public he's talking to Mertesacker about the club and moving to London.

Also Torres has supposedly gone 24 hours without scoring. A days worth of games!

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 21:22 (fourteen years ago)

Supposedly it was Jenkinson who threw up over our dugout btw.

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 21:23 (fourteen years ago)

lol the daily mail transfer rumours.

i mean this looks 80% spot on but i remember reading that over the summer they had a worse story-becomes-actual-transfer record than the sun and mirror combined.

fwiw it is a dickmove on the part of mertesacker to talk about it. i hate whenever the 'bigger' club have people come out and talk about players going to them. let him have his time at cologne without this shit in the papers, without the fans worrying about where his heads at etc. [arsenal fans really hate this shit when it is barca doing it to us for cesc or whoever, so for us to do it to the clubs below us shows we aren't learning.]

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 21:30 (fourteen years ago)

Also Torres has supposedly gone 24 hours without scoring. A days worth of games!

Messi doesn't go that long without a hat-trick.

A BIG JOE JORDAN TYPE OF POSTER (onimo), Wednesday, 7 March 2012 22:48 (fourteen years ago)

He probably has more hat tricks than Torres has goals in the last 12 months.

pandemic, Wednesday, 7 March 2012 22:52 (fourteen years ago)

I think he has 6? so yeah

A quote that should have been made into a pollthread where I guess who said it/cry and everyone mocks me.

City plan another raid on Arsenal if talks fail

Good luck in these 'talks', Arsenal

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 8 March 2012 09:45 (fourteen years ago)

Rosie 47 (ken c), Thursday, 8 March 2012 10:02 (fourteen years ago)

he's talking about Shaqeel van Persie's pocket money

Ismael Klata, Thursday, 8 March 2012 10:14 (fourteen years ago)
