As per Roberto Spirelli upthread, there's a decent chance that the comment is that sexism is The Natural Order when Shit Gets Real.

I think they are consciously addressing it as an issue. On one hand you have Lori who is pregnant with a tough cop husband, so her perspective is to fall into the cook/clean role. This conflicts with Andrea who does not have the same context for her perspective and feels that it is more important to learn to shoot and keep watch for zombies rather than do the laundry, which was specifically why they started fighting.

If you stop washing your clothes, the zombies win.

scanning this thread has made me happy i stopped watching.

if they all get killed and the show consists only of them wandering around as half-eaten zombies, let me know. i might tune back in at that point.

last night's ep was pretty good, relatively. tho god, whoever writes the script for herschel, and the actor, it's a disaster.

This should been a GREAT episode considering what happened and the notions of civilized behaviour etc but there's just something off about the whole thing. Thought it was enjoyable, though.

I do think the kid is going to be a nasty piece of work, or at least it would be a good way of making the right decision come back to haunt them. Liked the stuff with Carl and the zombie stuck in the mud too, that was subtle by this show's standards.

I thought Carl was going to kill the prisoner too! maybe stab him or use the guy he stole. This last one had me on the edge of the seat by the end. Kind of wish HBO had picked this series so we wouldn't have to sit through 10 minutes of adds and only half length series. Will they start doing 12 to 13 episodes eventually?

I do dig that this show doesn't just kill a character, he has a zombie open his abdomen with his hands.

at my job we're doing a big gala fundraiser auction and one of the lots is transportation/accommodation and walk on roles as zombies for two for this show

it seems like one or two up-close zombies is about their average budget limit so a big showdown, unless they've been saving up, is likely outside the scope.

I think they must have the budget for a big sequence considering the skimping they've done. Plus if they're not showing down with zombies, it'll be a lot cheaper, right? i.e. no makeup? Unless they really did go through with stretching the budget for the 6-episode first season to work for the 12-episode second.

well, this doesn't address your "tear them apart until there's nothing left" but in the comic, one of the major zombie rules that has NOT yet shown up in the show but almost certainly WILL (because some big plot points circle around it) is that if ANYBODY in this new world dies (whether it's from a zombie bite or not), they eventually come back to life as a zombie.

Which is part of what makes the title cutesy: the walking dead doesn't really refer so much to the zombies as it does to those who will ultimately BE zombies in the not-too-distant future, which is to say our protagonists do u c
