Let us not deal in estimations of subjective temps. Doing so only obfuscates the truth, which is: it is too. effing. hot.

That said, it's 67F in Chicago. And that's OK.

Though I am preparing to sleep in the sweet breeze of the freezing A/C.

Jesse, Wednesday, 11 June 2008 05:01 (eighteen years ago)

yeah i am feeling guilty that it's 76 and i still have a/c on but hey, it will be 90 by the time i wake up so probably worth keeping it on, eh?

tehresa, Wednesday, 11 June 2008 05:05 (eighteen years ago)

Shouldn't this be on the Surmounter thread? har har.

Where the fuck did this come from? There was an emergency-level need to install the window-shakers when I got home today.

Excelsior the Facebook (kkvgz), Thursday, 27 May 2010 01:47 (sixteen years ago)

over here on the other side, we've had pretty much the worst may/june weather on record, tho that seems to have righted itself in the past week

suge ♞ (The Reverend), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 06:48 (sixteen years ago)

lovely rain yesterday here in the warmth, whilst i sat under a pub umbrella reading my book. very relaxing.

Guru Meditation (Ste), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 08:38 (sixteen years ago)

that sounds pretty dope tbh, it was kind of just on the threshold of warm and muggy here today

suge ♞ (The Reverend), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 08:59 (sixteen years ago)

Goddamn, I thought I had it bad with 80 at 5:30 a.m. Seriously, this shit has got to go.

kkvgz, Tuesday, 29 June 2010 09:30 (sixteen years ago)

apparently no rain in sight for the next week in NY

kind of shrill and very self-righteous (Dr Morbius), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 11:24 (sixteen years ago)

You NYers have my sincere sympathies. That completely blows. :(

sinister chemical wisdom (Jenny), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 11:55 (sixteen years ago)

i am an idiot. i ran six miles outside this morning (88F /31C ) and gave myself heat exhaustion. now the whole damn day is shot, and my temp is still 101. :(

ampersand (remy bean), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 17:45 (sixteen years ago)

I feel like I've been through worse than it is right now? But maybe I'm thinking of the compiled effect of my years without any AC. I was a latecomer to the world of "SHUT THE DOOR, YOU'RE LETTING THE COLD OUT."

It actually feels cool outside today. its only 89.

It's a crisp 50 degrees F in Newfoundland today, with a wind chill of 46. On June 29.

kate78, Tuesday, 29 June 2010 19:10 (sixteen years ago)

gah that sounds awesome

Hans-Jörg Butt (harbl), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 19:32 (sixteen years ago)

at least it's not so humid here anymore, still 91º

Hans-Jörg Butt (harbl), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 19:33 (sixteen years ago)

kinda sick of this, actually.

kate78, Tuesday, 29 June 2010 19:42 (sixteen years ago)

Sacramento at 95. Just enough to get me excited about getting back to Portland soon. Woke up way too warm.

ksh, Tuesday, 29 June 2010 21:47 (sixteen years ago)

underwater, please (bear, bear, bear), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 21:50 (sixteen years ago)

I was in LA this past weekend and it was amazing, like low 70's and sunny with a nice breeze. It's fucking hot in Denver. 97F outside right now. Although at least it's dry heat, which is preferably any day over humidity.

homosexual II, Tuesday, 29 June 2010 21:56 (sixteen years ago)

Sacramento sux when it's this hot. Air conditioner preset was ready to kick in when we left for work at 7am...we have it set to 78 deg. :(

VegemiteGrrrl, Tuesday, 29 June 2010 21:59 (sixteen years ago)

london today is so fucking humid...jesus god

I see what this is (Local Garda), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 22:01 (sixteen years ago)

I've been in the middle of the Med, sunning self on small yacht just off Maltese coast for most of today. 95F and not a single cloud in the sky. Back to hot London on Thursday night.

I may or may not have a sunburn.

Vuvuzilla (suzy), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 22:04 (sixteen years ago)

Vegemite can you help direct me twrds the most ac'd bar in town?

underwater, please (bear, bear, bear), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 22:40 (sixteen years ago)

89degrees, 53%humidity in Atl right now. It's the least punishing weather we've had in a while, otherwise it's been a world of pain!

Beach Pomade (Adam Bruneau), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 22:56 (sixteen years ago)

i remember how grim and tenacious this winter was => not into complaining about any heat. much rather have this.

لوووووووووووووووووووول (lex pretend), Tuesday, 29 June 2010 23:01 (sixteen years ago)

xxpost...bear, this'll sound hella lame but the River City Brewery at K-Street mall. It's huge, has a concrete floor and it's not usually wall to wall people. I sat out a couple of 100+ Sundays there watching football on tv when our ac broke in our apartment a few years back...nice and cool. Only downside is it's in the zombie mall.

Otherwise Streets of London is pretty well ac/d ...but only if it's not packed with people.

VegemiteGrrrl, Tuesday, 29 June 2010 23:22 (sixteen years ago)

Awesome. Thanks VG. Was at Streets of London yesterday for a bit. Ended up playing basketball today instead which started to feel like a terrible idea. Might be time to hit that mall.

underwater, please (bear, bear, bear), Wednesday, 30 June 2010 01:13 (sixteen years ago)

Basketball? Clearly the heat has addled your brain...get thee to the bar!!

VegemiteGrrrl, Wednesday, 30 June 2010 01:26 (sixteen years ago)

I'M GOING TO START HITTING THINGS

nakhchivan, Saturday, 3 July 2010 23:28 (fifteen years ago)

well apparently it's 14C here, I claim bullshit cuz that hasn't prevented me from having to strip off in order to maybe be able to concentrate well enough to read.

I feel like if I moved to London I would have some sort of evolutionary advantage where I would still be able to work at 100% long after the rest of the city had melted itself into nothingness during a 22C day

got you all in ♜ ♔ (dyao), Saturday, 3 July 2010 23:36 (fifteen years ago)

I was outside way too much today. I feel like I got beat up by the sun.

sinister chemical wisdom (Jenny), Sunday, 4 July 2010 00:01 (fifteen years ago)

remember homes in europe don't have a/c xp. 77 is not hot, but it's not particularly pleasant to try to sleep in. 85 here without a/c at 2am. gross.
