I, also, watched Ep 1 this week. And spent ages trying to work out where I'd seen the American girl Jemaine was crushing on before. Thankfully, I realised.

Agreed. "Bowie in Space" and "Robots (The Humans Are Dead)" are two huge examples of this.

Love the live version of Robots - I always crack up at "Affirmative, I poked one it was dead".

i love live and tv versions. they both work on different levels.

I was starting to get a bit bored with it (too many scenarios) and then the final episode was a complete classic. Todd was a perfect villain. Crazy Dogs! I loved when Jemaine was supposed to kick him out and somehow ended up kicking out Bret instead. And Murray's confusion of the legality of the sacking. And Bret's angry dance.

I watched "Texan Odyssey" yesterday, and when they showed the clip of the Brunettes show, I thought, "Hey, I was there!" Sure enough, you can see my boyfriend in the crowd at one point (I'm standing next to him but someone's in front of me). If only we hadn't left right after the Brunettes' set! We had no idea what we were missing.

So the "album" is out and I just want to throw in my lot with whichever crew it is that's down with "bowie" and "inner city pressure" and "robots" because I suspect those may very well be just as awesome three years from now

FotC fans - do you like the mighty boosh / the songs in the mighty boosh?

Yes, quite. For different reasons though. I think FotC are wittier, sharper, and probably better. The Mighty Boosh is all about the conviction and effort with which they stage their silly day-glo fantasies.

On August 17, 2007, HBO announced a second season for Flight of the Conchords, originally set to premiere in 2008[7], but which has been postponed to January 2009. Prior to the announcement, Jemaine Clement stated in an interview with The New Zealand Herald, "[HBO] is interested in doing another series but we have to think about it. It's not a definite offer but they have talked about us starting writing but we've got other things we want to do as well".[8] Bret McKenzie has stated in several interviews that the band has used up "97 percent" of their old songs in the first season. In an interview with The Star Ledger, he said "We'd need some time to develop new material. It's like the second album syndrome. It might take a lot longer".[9] Shortly after the renewal announcement, Clement stated in an interview that the second season would likely consist of fewer than twelve episodes "so they could concentrate on 'quality not quantity'".
McKenzie and Clement returned to their home town of Wellington to write for the second season, although the writing process was delayed by the 2007-2008 Writers Strike. Filming for the 10 episode second series began in September 2008. That same month, McKenzie and Clement were quoted in a Q interview that the second series would most likely be the last.
