Still think 'Wenger out' because lol going two down to Spurs at home wtf is wrong with you

Sam, please. You didn't watch the game.

Upt0eleven, Sunday, 26 February 2012 22:19 (fourteen years ago)

Although granted probably are watching motd now. I'm on a bus. Hating Spurs in a most gleeful way.

Upt0eleven, Sunday, 26 February 2012 22:20 (fourteen years ago)

MOTD then proceed to not show all the goals FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHUUUUUCK YOOOOOOOU

van Persie goals was, in the words of James Robinson, 'woof' though.

De Gea needs to sort that beard out

Nice finish by Holt

a hoy hoy, Sunday, 26 February 2012 22:33 (fourteen years ago)

De Gea was probably MOTM today

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Sunday, 26 February 2012 22:58 (fourteen years ago)

Thinking in the cold light of day that was a pretty high profile occasion for the future England manager to drop two big tactical clangers. Outnumbered in the midfield in the first half and way short of width in the second.

Allowing Bale to bomb about all over the place leaves BAE exposed and the same thing happened to Walker with VDV in front of him. If we'd cut off Walcott and.Benayoun better we'd probably have been okay. Also please don't turn Bale into Tottenham's Steven Gerrard okthxbye.

Also apparently no one told Sandro he was supposed to be in DM rather than upfront.

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Monday, 27 February 2012 08:37 (fourteen years ago)

the bale question needs to stop being asked

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Monday, 27 February 2012 09:02 (fourteen years ago)

Bae made at least one shitty clearance but I was impressed with him generally. He reads the game very well I think, he's always stepping in to snuff things out as they're getting threatening. I wonder how he'd be as DM?

Ismael Klata, Monday, 27 February 2012 09:22 (fourteen years ago)

he's fine as a lb tbph, he was hardly the only member of the defence caught out yesterday

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Monday, 27 February 2012 09:25 (fourteen years ago)

In Harry's favour, he assimilates his clangers quickly and moves on - there's none of the prolonged persevering with a failing system like Chelsea or Liverpool have been suffering from at times.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 27 February 2012 09:26 (fourteen years ago)

or utd

Redknapp also failed in fabled 'man management' ie geeing up Tottenham to give it a go second half

I agree that this and possibly future results this season are going to make him look as mediocre as most England managers

then it will actually be kind of depressing if he takes England job and you know England aren't going to get any better.

the pinefox, Monday, 27 February 2012 10:03 (fourteen years ago)

best not to hitch your mood to that particular external factor

Ismael Klata, Monday, 27 February 2012 10:18 (fourteen years ago)

don't worry, my mood is hitched to other, much more depressing external factors

the pinefox, Monday, 27 February 2012 10:24 (fourteen years ago)

hurrah!

Ismael Klata, Monday, 27 February 2012 10:27 (fourteen years ago)

Redknapp also failed in fabled 'man management' ie geeing up Tottenham to give it a go second half

Disputed, I saw a lot of players giving it a go (although others went missing) except they were giving it a go out of position and trying to be the hero. Most of the composure went out of the window in the second half - admittedly that's Redknapp's job too, and his tactical changes didn't help.

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Monday, 27 February 2012 10:33 (fourteen years ago)

redknapp had a bad day, aside from players individually having bad days. Messing with the wings just to shoehorn vdv or whoever isn't going to work unless the discipline is there and yesterday it wasn't

Also Lennon would have given Gibbs a shit time, was a mistake not to bring him on.

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Monday, 27 February 2012 11:24 (fourteen years ago)

yeah it started at the wings, sagna made shit of us all game, large part of the reason walcott kept getting loose.

Anyway, having predicted us not getting much from that game, allow me to be the first to say that a 451 lennon/bale wing formation sees utd take a beating next week.

going to lol...england v holland tomorrow. is wembley a total shithole? anyone got any tips on where to have a pint beforehand?

I'm going to allow this! (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 28 February 2012 21:59 (fourteen years ago)

Probably best to have a pint in Kilburn and then jump on the tube rather than go to one of the pubs by the stadium

Striking Minors (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Wednesday, 29 February 2012 08:20 (fourteen years ago)

Would love to see a player joining a club without reaching any kind of agreement.

"We'll offer you £90,000 a week."

"No, but I'll show up on Saturday anyway."

James Mitchell, Wednesday, 29 February 2012 10:53 (fourteen years ago)

That's what Owen is doing at Utd afaik

Arsenal and Manchester City will play each other in the inaugural ‘China Cup’, a one-off match in Beijing’s ‘Bird’s Nest’ Stadium on Friday, July 27, kick-off 8pm local time.
At least we won't have sold RvP to them by then.

James Mitchell, Wednesday, 29 February 2012 11:27 (fourteen years ago)

ironically, given his bone composition

Scott Parker is England captain. If anyone cares

Number None, Wednesday, 29 February 2012 11:36 (fourteen years ago)

I can't find myself getting excited about Podolski. He was a bit rubbish at Bayern when they actually eexpected him to perform. Still, he's hopefully a step up from Arshavin.

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 29 February 2012 11:49 (fourteen years ago)

It's Arsenal going for a *name* player that's significant imo. He's a step up in status from every other signing bar Arshavin for the last what, ten years?

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 29 February 2012 11:52 (fourteen years ago)

poor gervinho, nasri, arteta, chamakh, campbell, baptista and reyes. forgotten in time.

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 29 February 2012 11:54 (fourteen years ago)

One day hopefully we can go for both a *name* player and an *awesome* player in one.

a hoy hoy, Wednesday, 29 February 2012 11:55 (fourteen years ago)

Podolski's got 95 caps and does well in big tournaments, he's a league up from those other guys

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 29 February 2012 12:04 (fourteen years ago)

that's why he's not Arsenal enough

FPocalypto! (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 29 February 2012 12:05 (fourteen years ago)
