KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't remember the time I made myself a cup of tea after nightfall. PERHAPS I NEVER HAVE.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:12 (twenty-one years ago)

"last time", anti-crypticians.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:13 (twenty-one years ago)

I once made a tomato juice and worcester sauce.

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Except I made it from PLUM TOMATOES and HP SAUCE. It didn't work.

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:14 (twenty-one years ago)

it worked it just didn't taste nice (i guess).

jed_ (jed), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:15 (twenty-one years ago)

What happened was that it sat still until it was 90 degrees above my face, and then it fell on it. I gave up seconds after.

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:16 (twenty-one years ago)

On life?

Alba (Alba), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Now that you mention it...

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Though I'm impressed by Mr.Stirmonster's recent Mr.Research advocacy.

that comment had me baffled for a minute or two but yes, i fully advocate mr. research.

My friend at work was a pal of Mr.Research at school. How did this possibly baffle you? It was only about a week ago! Do you have lots of friends called Mr.Research!

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:19 (twenty-one years ago)

well mr. research and i come from the same village and there's a big research clan there. i thought it might have been old shuggie research you were referring to.

stirmonster (stirmonster), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah OK

Are you from Currie/Balerno then?

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Hmmm...perhaps I'll rethink my playlist entirely and base it around a centerpiece of 'Rebel Rebel'.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:21 (twenty-one years ago)

i am indeed. a balerno boy.

stirmonster (stirmonster), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:22 (twenty-one years ago)

old shuggie research

jed_ (jed), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:22 (twenty-one years ago)

I've found "Paperlate" works as a a good centerpiece in the past.

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Stirmonster, ah! Do you know Dave Gibson then?

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:23 (twenty-one years ago)

that's the fellow jed!

dave gibson? there used to be a dave gibson who bullied me relentlessly. i wonder if it's the same one?

stirmonster (stirmonster), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Hmmm... I doubt it.... Very skinny bloke... I will check though.

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Twitch - you should come to the Woodside tomorrow, not to see my insult to the DJing profession but for Foxface - do you know them? I think you'd like them.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:25 (twenty-one years ago)

how old would he be?

stirmonster (stirmonster), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:25 (twenty-one years ago)

That said, what's your actual surname? Dave would be I think late 30s/40 now.

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:26 (twenty-one years ago)

alas alba i have to work but i would very much like to hear you play (and see foxface) even though being in a nightclub voluntarily is a very rare occurrence for me.

my surname is mcivor, keef. i am in my mid (heading to late) 30s.

stirmonster (stirmonster), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I'll check with Dave come Monday...

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:29 (twenty-one years ago)

That's a shame, though the Woodside hardly counts as a nightclub in my book.

This is like Surprise Surprise.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:30 (twenty-one years ago)

You are joking. The Woodside is second to only the old Potterrow as the best night out in Scotland in the last 20 years I reckon.

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:31 (twenty-one years ago)

it would bring a tear to a glass eye.

xp

haha

jed_ (jed), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:31 (twenty-one years ago)

yr right, it's not a nightclub. actually the woodside is more my type of place than yr average city centre niterie. and within stumbling distance of my abode too. bonus! i used to heart potterrow.

do check dave. ask him if he has a brother called peter. if so, tell him he's a bully!

stirmonster (stirmonster), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Anyone else who happens to be reading this, do come to the Winchester Club tomorrow.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:33 (twenty-one years ago)

er, check WITH dave.

stirmonster (stirmonster), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha! OK I will check...

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Keith (W) - I like the Woodside. I just meant if someone didn't like nightclubs then they might consider that it didn't really count as it's well... a bit different. Which I'm sure Keith (M) knows. I was just saying. Something. I don't know now.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:34 (twenty-one years ago)

yes, i'm drunk too.

jed_ (jed), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:36 (twenty-one years ago)

People used to not consider Potterrow as a nightclub because it was a student union, which is of course bollocks, it's just building with booze and music, which is the same thing whatever. I like the Woodside. Home of the boys' bridgade.

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:37 (twenty-one years ago)

jed, yr a lush.

stirmonster (stirmonster), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:37 (twenty-one years ago)

are you sober?!

jed_ (jed), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:38 (twenty-one years ago)

sadly yes. do my posts have an air of intoxication about them?

stirmonster (stirmonster), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Nick, any prog rock lined up for tomorrow?

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:42 (twenty-one years ago)

not at all, it's just that time of night!

xp

jed_ (jed), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:44 (twenty-one years ago)

No prog. No samba. No fun.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Pity. I always find that "Supper's Ready" gets the party started.

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:49 (twenty-one years ago)

are you not getting samba ya bamba to accompany you, alba?

jed_ (jed), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:50 (twenty-one years ago)

samba ya bamba playing along to alba playing 'supper's ready. now that would be a real treat.

stirmonster (stirmonster), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:53 (twenty-one years ago)

With Max Carlish as freaky dancer. Up Kate.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:55 (twenty-one years ago)

stirmonster - your services are required here

ways in which your street differs from [UK Soap] street.

jed_ (jed), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Goodnight! I'm off to bed.

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:56 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm not entirely sure I have ever heard 'Supper's Ready', though I have read about it a lot. I did download 'Follow You Follow Me' yesterday though. It's a treat.

Night Keith. Think I am too. I'm actually working tomorrow, prior to the Samba Y Phila explosion.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 10 June 2005 23:57 (twenty-one years ago)

ok jed i shall check out yr soap thread before heading of to bed too. night all.
