Trying to figure out what Sudeikis up to in each of those gifs

da croupier, Sunday, 19 February 2012 14:37 (fourteen years ago)

looks to me like he's saying "please get me the hell off this show"

illuminati girl (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 19 February 2012 14:38 (fourteen years ago)

I hate Timberlake and even he's too talented to be in the cast of this show

Literal Facepalms (Dr Morbius), Sunday, 19 February 2012 15:07 (fourteen years ago)

I knew there was something that you hated, Morbs. I just couldn't remember what it was.

The Bon Iver impersonation was A+++.

Nicole, Sunday, 19 February 2012 15:33 (fourteen years ago)

I bet Iver was in hs when n sync was at it's peak, last night mustve been pretty surreal from that perspective

dave coolier (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Sunday, 19 February 2012 15:39 (fourteen years ago)

devernon @blobtower
JT! SNL peeps… that was hilarious. Armisen as prince… Also, i WISH i looked that good bald. That was it… the most surreal thing! ever!

mizzell, Sunday, 19 February 2012 15:41 (fourteen years ago)

Two recent musical guests have been (slightly) mocked within a couple weeks of appearing. I can't wait to see what they do to Karmin.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 19 February 2012 15:42 (fourteen years ago)

The Bon Iver impersonation was A+++.

― Nicole, Sunday, February 19, 2012

The rest was ok

Exile in lolville (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Sunday, 19 February 2012 15:46 (fourteen years ago)

I totally agree that this is one of the all time great casts, which you can tell, because nearly week, their very presence lifts so many sub-par skits. I seriously mean that as a complement. Just funny people.

Josh in Chicago, Sunday, 19 February 2012 15:52 (fourteen years ago)

Every week, that is.

Josh in Chicago, Sunday, 19 February 2012 15:54 (fourteen years ago)

I've noticed that Armisen's key to not breaking character is focusing all his energy on doing crazy eyes. Doesn't matter the character, he's always crossed-eyed and googly, I think to keep his mind of his cast mates and avoid eye contact.

Josh in Chicago, Sunday, 19 February 2012 16:03 (fourteen years ago)

the mix on the Sleigh Bells performance was just awful, i can't really fault the band on that one

Nhex, Sunday, 19 February 2012 18:23 (fourteen years ago)

Spit my drink out at "bon iver put himself to sleep."

s.clover, Sunday, 19 February 2012 18:31 (fourteen years ago)

I don't know if I've said this before, but would pay to watch a "What up with that" movie.

s.clover, Sunday, 19 February 2012 19:12 (fourteen years ago)

Be careful what you wish for.

Josh in Chicago, Sunday, 19 February 2012 22:38 (fourteen years ago)

Watching this now on Hulu to see what the fuss is about

Dalai Mixture (James Redd and the Blecchs), Sunday, 19 February 2012 23:37 (fourteen years ago)

I thought this looked familiar for some reason when I saw it, but I didn't make the connection:

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 21 February 2012 20:39 (fourteen years ago)

Aww. That's really nice.

SNEEZED GOING DOWN STEPS, PAIN WHEN PUTTING SOCKS ON (Deric W. Haircare), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 20:41 (fourteen years ago)

Ahhhh. I was wondering why it looked familiar too!

Gonjasufjanstephen O'Malley (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 20:45 (fourteen years ago)

yeah I thought that was really sweet

(thinks and smiles) (DJP), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 20:46 (fourteen years ago)

She was on Jimmy Fallon last week, and the Roots played a Minnie Riperton song to introduce her (forget which one), and she seemed really touched by it.

Ascot Fitzgerald (jaymc), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 20:57 (fourteen years ago)

According to the liner notes from Riperton's Petals compilation CD, the melody to "Lovin' You" was created as a distraction for Maya when she was a baby, so that Riperton and Richard Rudolph could spend time together.[2] Near the end of the unedited "Lovin' You", Riperton sings "Maya, Maya, Maya"; in concert, near her death, she changed this to "Maya, Maya, Ringo, Maya." Ringo was her nickname for her son, Marc.

Let A Man Come In And Do The Cop Porn (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:00 (fourteen years ago)

I didn't know the Ringo part!

polyphonic, Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:02 (fourteen years ago)

weird to think that taran killam is still a featured player... dude is in like every sketch

illuminati girl (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:17 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, I'm sayin' about him what I was sayin' during Bobby Moynihan's last year as a featured player: if Lorne doesn't promote him next season, he's straight outta his mind.

SNEEZED GOING DOWN STEPS, PAIN WHEN PUTTING SOCKS ON (Deric W. Haircare), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:20 (fourteen years ago)

Things the 2012/13 cast needs:

+1 black woman
+1 nerdy fella
-1 andy samberg (and possibly -1 fred armisen)

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:25 (fourteen years ago)

wait, the cast already has Thompson, Armisen, Moynihan, Samberg, Killam and Hader and you think the thing they're missing is "someone nerdy"?

(thinks and smiles) (DJP), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:28 (fourteen years ago)

god, this mya angelou prank skit is amazing

illuminati girl (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:29 (fourteen years ago)

i'm sick and should not be laughing this hard

illuminati girl (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:29 (fourteen years ago)

that shit was next-level, I was crying

(thinks and smiles) (DJP), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:29 (fourteen years ago)

i haven't seen the past few episodes... did they start putting pharoah in more skits since the restart of this season or was it just this episode?

illuminati girl (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:30 (fourteen years ago)

"No, Brother West. It was an act of whimsy."

I died.

SNEEZED GOING DOWN STEPS, PAIN WHEN PUTTING SOCKS ON (Deric W. Haircare), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:31 (fourteen years ago)

A few more as of late. xp

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:31 (fourteen years ago)

as much as i love kenan, it's really weird when they have him play black people that are not in the least bit overweight

illuminati girl (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:32 (fourteen years ago)

I think when Brittain bailed/got canned, they had to use Pharoah more

(thinks and smiles) (DJP), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:32 (fourteen years ago)

not to be a killjoy but this has happened every time i've seen rudolph on a talk show! granted that's like uh twice

xps omg i'd forgotten about that maya angelou bit

Critique of Pure Moods (goole), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:33 (fourteen years ago)

is it okay that i'm slightly irked by them dressing pharoah as jay-z circa 2003

illuminati girl (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:34 (fourteen years ago)

wait, the cast already has Thompson, Armisen, Moynihan, Samberg, Killam and Hader and you think the thing they're missing is "someone nerdy"?

Point taken. I just don't feel like they've had a Lovitz/Kazurinsky type in a while (Armisen comes the closest, but I'm just ready to see someone else doing what he does).

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:34 (fourteen years ago)

Maya Angelou skit was hilare, even though David Alan Grier did the better Maya Angelou impresh on SNL.

And yeah, Pharoah's definitely been on more since Brittain left.

Ascot Fitzgerald (jaymc), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:34 (fourteen years ago)

it took me years to tell all the white dudes of this era apart! now they all seem very distinct, sure.

Critique of Pure Moods (goole), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:36 (fourteen years ago)

I can understand/sympathize with the "heavy dude playing non-heavy celebs, why because he is black" irritation but Kenan's Cornel West was so fucking lol

(thinks and smiles) (DJP), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:36 (fourteen years ago)

i always feel bad for pharoah, he is truly uncanny as an impressionist but they only give him that one thing to do, and only once every six weeks.

denzel washington as a customer service rep is all time tho

Critique of Pure Moods (goole), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:38 (fourteen years ago)

I just love that the show featured impersonations of both Cornel West and Geoffrey Canada.

Ascot Fitzgerald (jaymc), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:38 (fourteen years ago)

omg I forgot about Geoffrey Canada

DYING

(thinks and smiles) (DJP), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:39 (fourteen years ago)

"I feel no shame in sitting on that pie...it's just human nature, I suppose"

dave coolier (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:40 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, that one was ott lols. xp

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:40 (fourteen years ago)

this is why I said upthread that I love it when former cast members host

(thinks and smiles) (DJP), Tuesday, 21 February 2012 21:41 (fourteen years ago)
