elmo argonaut is a gay noizer who's clearly enjoying this far more than he's letting on

hahaha nice try, but no

elmo argonaut, Monday, 12 March 2007 17:53 (nineteen years ago)

If I could see how to de-index threads on nu-ILX I'd do this one. But this is out there in the public domain now, it's going to be *very difficult* to wipe out all mentions of it from now on and I'm not sure anyone wants to play whack-a-mole* with L0u1s J4gg3r s3x st0r1es.

I suppose you can be thankful your antics didn't give anyone the opportunity to make the 'PUT YR HANDS UP L0U1S J4GGER' joke.

*No pun intended.

Matt DC, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:04 (nineteen years ago)

I was the first person to ever make that joke on ILX! Except that Dom was the target, obviously.

Seriously, though, this was all intended as a bit of drunken-fun shame-confessional distraction. Those who laughed, mocked, and entered into the uproarious spirit got the idea. Those who theorised about narcissism and idiocy may have had a separate point, but it wasn't what my post warranted. What I was doing wasn't narcissism, it was self-flagellating 'I KONFESS ;_;'-style amusement.

Now I'm feeling really, really, really bad. Not about what I did, mind (it's still quite funny), but about posting it on a site where your every move is dissected, roasted, exaggerated, judged, and thrown back atcha. Shoulda guessed, maybe...

sanskrit, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:12 (nineteen years ago)

maybe you should buy a diary and write in it instead of on the internet. do they have diarys in the old country?

Mr. Que, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:12 (nineteen years ago)

DUDE SELF-FLAGELLATION=MOST NARCISSISTIC ACTIVTY POSSIBLE! come on!

horseshoe, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:12 (nineteen years ago)

on a site where your every move is dissected, roasted, exaggerated, judged, and thrown back atcha.

WTF, man, this describes EVERY INTERNET MESSAGE BOARD EVER.

Pashmina, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:13 (nineteen years ago)

Not the ones I've been on (mostly sporting ones, cricket + football).

ANYWAY, for the love of EVERYTHING will someone please now lock this thread?

unfished business, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:15 (nineteen years ago)

no i think we should keep it going for your sake.

Mr. Que, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:15 (nineteen years ago)

if you say something in a crowded room and everyone reacts negatively, do you think, maybe, you might have said something wrong?

gff, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:16 (nineteen years ago)

Go post yr story on a cricket board and report back

.stet., Monday, 12 March 2007 18:17 (nineteen years ago)

Maybe we should keep it going in case someone wants to talk about how awesome or otherwise crushes are?

Pashmina, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:18 (nineteen years ago)

Now I'm feeling really, really, really bad. Not about what I did, mind (it's still quite funny), but about posting it on a site where your every move is dissected, roasted, exaggerated, judged, and thrown back atcha. Shoulda guessed, maybe...

Kid, you got plenty of warning that ILX was like that the first day you posted here. You still can't get over the idea that you can coast by here on charm alone, and NOBODY can do that here. (Except for two people I can think of, and they have the good sense not to test it.)

Rock Hardy, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:20 (nineteen years ago)

Louis you fucking clown what did you expect? I mean seriously you're on some Dickensian bumbling oaf shit when you get drunk if you think people are going all clap their hands in delight and go "oh my dear fellow you cad" or maybe at worst venture a "good heavens ; )" rather than outright laugh their heads off and ridicule you for that post.

And I mean that as some decent advice.

Ronan, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:21 (nineteen years ago)

oh ffs of course i expected a negative reaction, but the SORT of negative reaction is the thing. At first it was the right sort, the 'haha, wow, wtf, you stupid ass' sort, but as soon as it turned into the 'you are a seriously awful person'-type reasoning we got a little later on, then UH.

unfished business, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:21 (nineteen years ago)

well you ARE and awful person

Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:23 (nineteen years ago)

of course i expected a negative reaction
So you're trolling?

.stet., Monday, 12 March 2007 18:24 (nineteen years ago)

Uh no he isn't

Mark C, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:24 (nineteen years ago)

nobody needed to say anything.

god, i hate today

unfished business, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:24 (nineteen years ago)

my post was to Jimmy

Mark C, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:24 (nineteen years ago)

lol tough break nigga!

Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:24 (nineteen years ago)

that was in response to Louis Jagger

Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:25 (nineteen years ago)

So you're trolling?

NO, I was adding another snippet to the 'continuing tales of haha wow LJ is a rubbish wooer' story so many of you seem to take such a keen interest in.

unfished business, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:26 (nineteen years ago)

the appropriate place to post that story would probably be http://nifty.org/nifty/bisexual/college/index.html

Rock Hardy, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:28 (nineteen years ago)

okay the xpost frenzy between Mark and Jimmy is awesome.

HI DERE, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:30 (nineteen years ago)

oh ffs of course i expected a negative reaction, but the SORT of negative reaction is the thing.

But you can't control other people's reactions.

accentmonkey, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:37 (nineteen years ago)

We're the least of your worries really. You'll probably head off after a while on to new things but you will always be googleable and that means that stupidity like this belongs to the ages. That reads like gloating, it's not (really) it's more: Learn that the submit button is not always your friend. Pause for 10 seconds and if it still seems like a good idea press it. Remember that it's always going to be there so be cautious before you reveal anything else.

Also whoever mentioned that you shouldn't kiss and tell like this is very OTM.

kv_nol, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:38 (nineteen years ago)

On a certain level I'm kind of wondering why everyone is still shocked and awed at the level of oversharing...?

HI DERE, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:40 (nineteen years ago)

I'm just confused why it was on the crush thread. . .no warning people!

Ms Misery, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:43 (nineteen years ago)

louis im neutral towards your story--it was dumb to post and pretty gross but im not gonna freak out pretend i havent heard grosser/more personal shit from people who i hate a lot more--but you should consider attaching a breathalyzer to your computer.

max, Monday, 12 March 2007 18:48 (nineteen years ago)

all of ilx should probably be outfitted with one.

Ms Misery, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:16 (nineteen years ago)

Sure, except for the part where most of ILX is made of people who either can still KIT under the influence, or are canny enough not to post things that are more than a little bit risque or embarrassing. You may laugh at that claim, but if it weren't true LJ wouldn't stand out so much in the first place.

Also, I demand my right to make durnk posts and poss regret them later.

Laurel, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:23 (nineteen years ago)

After that story, do lots of ILX girls now have a crush on Louis?

(just trying to turn this into a crush thread again)

StanM, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:24 (nineteen years ago)

I'm with Laurel on that subject. ILX would be far less amusing if there weren't the occasional drunk posts.

Michael White, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:24 (nineteen years ago)

drunken posts=of course

drunken posts about cross dressing and whacking=no

Mr. Que, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:26 (nineteen years ago)

Con: a crush thread is ruined.
Pro: a drunk thread is spared.

nickalicious, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:27 (nineteen years ago)

i don't necessarily object to either of wanking or drag! i do object to LJ's prose style, however. that's just embarrassing for everyone.

elmo argonaut, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:29 (nineteen years ago)

It is not the posting that is a problem, I have met the guy and he is a decent chap but anyone with half a brain, and without balls full of zings is thinking.

Dude, do you or any other of the people involved really want that out on the internet.

Maybe it is a generation gap thing but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't.

Ed, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:30 (nineteen years ago)

No, I am only a year or two older than him and I wouldn't want it out there either.

jessie monster, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:31 (nineteen years ago)

It never stopped me from regaling y'all with a story of a cat playing tetherball with my nads.

Michael White, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:33 (nineteen years ago)

your cat is not likely to have an opinion about that.

Maybe we are being a bit over protective and patronising of young Louis., he certainly doesn't deserve the levels of abuse he gets from some quarters, and quite frankly we have given him fair warning, so he can post what the fuck he likes but maybe a little warning for us prudes would be in order.

Ed, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:37 (nineteen years ago)

If LJ was funny, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

elmo argonaut, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:37 (nineteen years ago)

OTM.

G00blar, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:40 (nineteen years ago)

what ed said, though I would subsitute "prude" for "people not wishing to spoil their mornings by one ill-labeled click"

Ms Misery, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:42 (nineteen years ago)

the thing that bugs me most is the image at the top of this thread :(

Taking Cuddlestein Mountain by Strategy, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:43 (nineteen years ago)

I was wondering why this thread kept appearing at the top of the new answers page.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Fluffy Bear, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:50 (nineteen years ago)

what ed said, though I would subsitute "prude" for "people not wishing to spoil their mornings by one ill-labeled click

For a split second I didn't see the space between the 'c' and the 'l' in that last word.

Michael White, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:53 (nineteen years ago)

one ill-labeled c-lick

Curt1s Stephens, Monday, 12 March 2007 19:54 (nineteen years ago)

ahaha
