I haven't been, but a non-veg friend was talking up the one in Wicker Park. Sounded promising.

if i were in WP i'd probably eat somewhere else but for the loop it's exciting.

i just mean there are lots of interesting places with veggie options in WP, not so much downtown

However, I have a workshop at the Harold Washington Library next Friday and I'm really excited! I will be able to ride the el to work and everything.

Those art institute kids that are in the dorm beside my work smoke a lot of cigarettes.

Columbia students smoke a lot of cigarettes. Actually, people in the South Loop in general smoke a lot of cigarettes.

I kind of wish I smoked a lot of cigarettes.

i was always bugged out that culinary students at CHIC (when i worked next door to CHIC) smoked so much - like don't you need those taste buds, dudes?

also did you know cigarettes cost like $8 a pack? i don't understand how anyone affords a serious smoking habit.

I feel like all cooks/chefs smoke? Maybe I just get that from anthony bourdain.

i smoked a lot of cigarettes outside of my saic dorm. i was in the one by carson pirie-scott, though, not the fancy newer one across from the chicago theater. (xp i have no idea which one you work by)

I worked on Jackson 6+ yrs ago! Technically I've only ever worked in THE LOOP for about a year, cumulatively.

the only time i smoked was when i lived in india and you could buy half-packs or even single cigarettes from the tobacco dudes

And I smoked a cigarette w/ the wine director at B!n 36. My former co-worker who used to work at B!n said that despite being a heavy smoker, but she had an incredible nose on her.

when i started smoking cigarettes were $3 a pack, but that was also in texas (where cigarettes are still pretty cheap)

Hey, related to culinary students, I had dinner last week at the dining room at Kendall College. They have a weeknight prix-fixe 3-course dinner--it's like a restaurant, except the servers and everyone else is in class and being observed. Very good food, nice view of downtown.
