oh gross. is that an attempted eye gouge?

kid steel (cajunsunday), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 07:24 (fourteen years ago)

If I look at this Tottenham team now I see some good, good players. The little magician, Modric. The mercurial Dutchman, van der Vaart. The Welsh wizard, Bale. And the outstanding Russian, Pavlyucheckov. Quite what Harry’s problem is with him, I don’t know, because I reckon he’d outscore your Rooneys and van Persies given the right chance and the right service. If it were me I’d have Alan Lennon firing in the crosses for him all game.

jesus, the pronouns.

Thought i saw suarez with his hands in someone's face right after he came on, didn't look that bad at the time.

Oh well, another ban. Glad he's learning.

Dr Frogbius (darraghmac), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 09:22 (fourteen years ago)

Worst cunt in the Premiership by a mile.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 10:03 (fourteen years ago)

Maybe once Terry retires and Barton gets relegated.

I think that kick on Parker was an accident though. He was aiming for Ledley King.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 10:36 (fourteen years ago)

oh lol

Dr Frogbius (darraghmac), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 10:38 (fourteen years ago)

After being unsure I'm starting to warm to Suarez.
We were okay last night.

pandemic, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 12:14 (fourteen years ago)

you were the better team, but tbf we were playing for a point and had injuries.

Dr Frogbius (darraghmac), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 12:26 (fourteen years ago)

don't think spurs had a single shot on target

Alan Shearer (ken c), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 13:35 (fourteen years ago)

suarez got parker square in the guts and skrtel got in a great shot on bale's shin

Alan Shearer (ken c), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 13:35 (fourteen years ago)

bale had a one-on-one saved

Dr Frogbius (darraghmac), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 13:40 (fourteen years ago)

see second post

Alan Shearer (ken c), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 13:51 (fourteen years ago)

unless you meant stroking the ball gently against reina's feet was a touché

Alan Shearer (ken c), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 13:52 (fourteen years ago)

Redknapp verdict can't be long now, surely?

James Mitchell, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 14:17 (fourteen years ago)

'Arry's based on the South Coast? Could he be sharing a cell with Chris Huhne at some point I wonder?

Piers Morgan: '@GaryLineker_I currently air in 200 countries/territories - how you getting on? #SmallPondMinnow'.

Gary Lineker: '@piersmorgan I think the 2 world cups I played in probably edged that'.

mizzell, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 14:58 (fourteen years ago)

otm

Dr Frogbius (darraghmac), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 15:35 (fourteen years ago)

They've had Morgan on American TV twice this year when Fox has showed EPL games before the NFL semis and the Super Bowl and both times I have wanted to see him drawn and quartered.

le ralliement du doute et de l'erreur (Michael White), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 16:14 (fourteen years ago)

I think pawning him off to American telly was one of the best things we've done as a country recently.

a hoy hoy, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 16:18 (fourteen years ago)

otm, still haven't got rid of him entirely tho

Charles Kennedy Jumped Up, He Called 'Oh No'. (Tom D.), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 16:21 (fourteen years ago)

Just to hazard a guess, is he an Arsenal fan and has he been one since about 1996 or so?

Matt DC, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 16:22 (fourteen years ago)

he is an arsenal fan dunno how long he has been.

fucking hate that every one of his football tweets gets reported as news when i'm just trying to see who our next injury crisis is.

Piers Morgan: '@GaryLineker_I currently air in 200 countries/territories - how you getting on? #SmallPondMinnow'.
Gary Lineker: '@piersmorgan I think the world cup that I shitted myself on telly in probably edged that'.

If you or I fucked up in our jobs like he did we'd never work again. But no, it's been the making of that cunt.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 16:36 (fourteen years ago)

He's an Arsenal fan (for how long I know not) and he's actually not that bad at the pre-game/halftime commentary he does, esp compared to the usual American style of sports color, but I simply want him dead, preferably after an agonizing bit of torture similar to the one he inflicts on hapless TV viewers.

le ralliement du doute et de l'erreur (Michael White), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 16:40 (fourteen years ago)

yeah there are a lot of American pundits I hate that I would prefer to Piers

long duk dan (dan m), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 16:45 (fourteen years ago)

like Taylor Twellman is an insufferable pretty boy asshole but at least he kind of knows what he's talking about when describing what happened on field

long duk dan (dan m), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 16:45 (fourteen years ago)

McManaman and Barton are ok on American TV, even. I just find Piers so loathsome a creature.

le ralliement du doute et de l'erreur (Michael White), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 16:49 (fourteen years ago)

never had a problem with McMetc. whenever I seen him.

Would it be contemptuous to quickfire poll it?

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 17:03 (fourteen years ago)

it would be insulting to ilf if you didn't do it

That's interesting for all sorts of reasons. Is that site/writer trustworthy?

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 20:37 (fourteen years ago)

No idea tbh

Number None, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 20:40 (fourteen years ago)

At the time I didn’t want to name the player but having been inundated with requests to reveal who the player is, I’ve decided to do exactly that.

this isn't really a great sign of trustworthiness

mizzell, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 20:41 (fourteen years ago)

i really like sturridge. i thought the best outcome of the modric chelsea thing would have been getting sturridge in return.

mizzell, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 20:43 (fourteen years ago)

Heh xp, that is rather flimsy reasoning. On the other hand, it's a very specific account.

I was wondering about a Sturridge-Rooney-Welbeck front three for the Euros, I think it could work. Trouble is it'd need a particularly disciplined midfield, which assuming Gerrard is fit might be a stupid ask.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 20:54 (fourteen years ago)

Chelsea's most prolific goalscorer agitating for a hefty payrise, extremely transparent. Given what he must be earning compared to Torres and Drogba it's hardly surprising.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 20:57 (fourteen years ago)

milner-parker-barry?
xp

mizzell, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 21:00 (fourteen years ago)

don't rate Barry but the other two wd be ok

dayove cool (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 21:01 (fourteen years ago)

Gerrard-Parker-one other. Who should not be Barry. Milner's probably best option, though a younger Scholes would've been ideal.

In turn you're needing a lot from your fullbacks though, and I'm not sure that's realistic at all.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 21:04 (fourteen years ago)

wilshere or livermore, give youth a chance. Tho thudd obv?

Tho tbh i'd have chamberlain ahead of rooney there

Dr Frogbius (darraghmac), Tuesday, 7 February 2012 21:12 (fourteen years ago)

why would man city's daniel sturridge wanna go to arsenal?

a hoy hoy, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 21:13 (fourteen years ago)

              Hart

Richards Smalling Lescott Baines

Gerrard Parker Jones

Welbeck Rooney Sturridge

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 7 February 2012 21:14 (fourteen years ago)

Gerrard has never performed for England, why would he start now?

Cashley still worth his place imo

O-C in there for Welbeck maybe
