Speaking of the striker after Tottenham's 3-1 victory over Wigan on Tuesday evening, Redknapp told Sky Sports News: "I like Saha.

Saha's an outstanding forward imo, at least until recently, but his injury record is terrible and he must be what, 32 by now? He'd be a good short-term punt, except Spiders already have a hungry Defoe.

At his best Saha is no doubt better than van Persie, Henry, Bergkamp, Messi, Klose, Aguero, Kris Boyd, etc.

Realistically all Saha's going to do is sit on our bench as cover I think, they've obviously realised if we're only going to play one striker at a time we might as well sell Pav for a reasonable sum while we still can. I love Pav but really he deserves to be playing week in week out somewhere. Saha won't piss and whine about being on the bench. He used to be great but he isn't any more, although he might be a decent impact sub when he's not injured.

Excited to see Miyaichi at Bolton on loan.
