got the fuse for my pro 1 y'day so i was able to get it running

several things were immediately obvious, one is that it is very hard not to sound like yazoo, another is that it is very easy for it to sound completely insane, and finally there was a sound that from out of nowhere made me play the simpsons theme perfectly, which i have never been able to do before and then couldn't repeat with another sound..

And Future's been on sale since October, so ppl are excited about sideshows, not him touring at all. So if you weren't one of the 200 ppl that fit into Soho to see him in '97 - or were sick or working or travelling that night - it's FIFTEEN YEARS since he's toured at all. That's ...a reasonable amount of time to be excited about a return? People who weren't legal to go to clubs in 1997* are now THIRTY-TWO YEARS OLD. God forbid they might be excited, or only have discovered him since then.

*I saw him at BDO, and still have his oversized RDJ portrait, that fell out of the vagina-facehole of one of the eight-foot-tall dancing flourescent teddy bears, hanging on the back of my bedroom door at my mum's house.

Yer I'm a fan of his ambient stuff, but his hardcore stuff leaves me cold tbh. But R was/is heavily into Autechre and that jazz, so I was kind of inundated with it for f'nyears.
