Yer I havent been up the RMIT end of that street in fnages. I havent even seen the new Doyle-er-iffic tramstops. Maybe I should scoot up to MelbCent after work.

― ‘Banksy bacon burgers’ and ‘Shepard Fairey Bread’ (electricsound), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 00:15 (fourteen years ago)
i prefer them to the separated lanes further up swanston, tbh

okay look, as long as peds look for bikes and bikes stop for trams I don't see a problem with them. imo once the whole of swanston st has been rebuilt (albeit alternate blocks only) it'll make loads more sense.
― Autumn Almanac (Schlafsack), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 01:23 (fourteen years ago)
the one i get off made my walk to work more annoying, that's why i don't like it. as for its functionality i care not either way

Flat in the same bldg as a good friend of mine (ex flatmate too, actually) is up for rent in Elwood, we're all jokingly saying me and N should apply for it, it'd be like some kind of Seinfeld shit.

TBF, reading some of the other stuff on that site, the Fitzroyalty guy himself comes across as a bit of a nob sometimes.

Oh and it gets better! This morning apparently Tony Abbott said this about the Aboriginal Tent Embassy: "He says he can understand why the embassy was established but he thinks times have changed for the better since then."
Completely unsuprisingly, then, this happened:http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-01-26/riot-police-escort-gillard-abbott-from-protest/3795036
(bit convenient for the pics to look so damn drastic with oor PM being "dragged off" as if all hell had broken loose, mind u)
― thanks to denial, I'm immortal! (Trayce), Thursday, 26 January 2012 07:24 (fourteen years ago)
But for a political leader to even suggest that aboriginal people have it better now? FFS what is that man on.

Just went for a walk to the shops, and as I passed thru the local park, it was packed with ppl in singlets and hats and thongs, having picics merrily and drinking and playing cricket, with aussie flag beachballs, towels, and lilos scatered all about. I mean wtf, why dont they come out at boxing day, new years day etc? whats so special about today that it says THOU MUST CHAR MEAT AND DRINK BEER SITTING VERILY ON LAWNS.

xxpost wtf @ Abbott's comments.
This made me lol (from The Age today): "After Ms Gillard was bundled into a waiting car & whisked away, a protester displayed one of Ms Gillard's blue high heel shoes, which had fallen off during her hasty exit, and shouted "Gingerella, come get your shoe!!"

Yeah I read abotu this, thats a few doors up from where I work. Its a lucky thing thats a set-back sunken courtyard that no one much goes into, cos if that had been street frontage anywhere else Collins st, it'd have hit someone 100% guaranteed. Im actually amazed it didnt.
