idk if you saw SRN's or Bloach's series of tweets but iirc they are withholding sympathy on the basis of tree_bro's apparent refusal to get help and they see "addiction is a disease" as a shitty rebuttal because he had a pretty strong support system (?) but I think Katie N.'s response is really human and tactful and addresses all sides of it and like, this is a regular-ass human being, not Joe Pa, so I wish those dudes had been a little more compassionate even if they had issues w/him but I guess that reeks of Care

oh no, this stuff is small potatoes. i was still talking about when they harassed a wikipedia editor into killing himself, and then had a huge thread where they spent page after page bragging and joking about it. only one guy on the entire forum expressed the tiniest reservation over it. the entire thing was so gruesome and cruel that i could never look at them or the board in the same way again
