• Slutever is playing Sat Jan 28th in West Philly! Do you guys like them? I really like what i've heard
• Optimo is gonna be at Snacks on Sat Feb 4 ($5 as well and sooooooo worth it trust me bros)
• Screaming Females are doing a free in-store at Long in the Tooth at 2027 Sansom w/ Dry Feet and if you've never seen them before you really, really should, like seriously.

Okay, we should def FAP. Do you guys have any favorite bars? What times work best for everyone? I'm free the evenings of wed-fri and sun.

It's best for me to start before 7:30 bc of baby bedtime, but I'm pretty free every night except Friday. No bars I'm particularly fond of, though there are some nice places in Manayunk + in Ardmore if we're looking for location suggestions. Up for most anything, tho.

How far are you from the Schuylkill? Maybe we could do something in west phl or ritt/logan square area?

Yeah, I can travel a little. Just the further I have to go, the earlier I have to leave to be home by bedtime. Which isn't necessarily a problem. 6:00-7:30 could be nice PHAP.

Stupid question: where can one get a decent haircut in Philly? I'm, um, a number of months overdue for one and kind of unsure what to do after years of terrible Supercuts in New Jersey.

I used to get cheap ones from students at Jean Madeline at like 4th and Bainbridge but now I go to my friend who works at Sulimay's Barber Shop on E Girard; excellent cuts for only $10

off-topic, we ate here last week: http://www.vedgerestaurant.com/ - fancy artsy vegan food (from the guy who used to run Horizons way back in the day). pretty delish tbh.

I have heard nothing but stellar praise for Vedge from vegans and omnis alike.

I went to the Mutter Museum, this brasserie off Rittenhouse Square called Parc, and Franklin bar, where there was a large contingent of people in sailor garb with the added innovation of suspenders. It's so fun here!

We just negotiated my mom out of a bus tour of Philly in favor of a trolley to the liberty bell. If I remember correctly, there are cute stores in the historic area (are those just along Chestnut . . . or)?

Nice work, heh. Yeah, if you walk along 2nd and 3rd just north of Market there are shops, galleries, etc. It's a nice area to walk around in... plus there is a coffeeshop that legendary radio personality Jerry Blavat ("The Geator") frequents. Alas, Danny Bonaduce left the neighborhood last year, but you can probably still drink in his spirit. Eww.

Chifa, hmmm, haven't encountered any feedback on that place. Sounds interesting tho. Cool, I've always been curious about that brasserie jawn

Funny, you don't strike me as a brasserie kind of guy.

I don't strike me as being that kind of guy either, which may partly explain why I've never been there. I imagine that it's exactly like a cross between Arby's and Dunkin Donuts, except with outdoor seating, topless servers and maybe better coffee
