Oh wow, I never noticed the initials of GT Fish & Oyster before.
Gosh they must be so embarrassed.

Hey guess what? I went to the fancy Walgreen's on State St. It's kind of too much ~dazzle~ for a drug store but they don't lock up their deodorant so I will shop there.
― gonna give her the old fuquay-varina (Jenny), Friday, 13 January 2012 20:36 (fourteen years ago)
I only noticed it when we went a couple weeks ago.
― Bon Ivoj (jaymc), Friday, 13 January 2012 20:47 (fourteen years ago)
Hey, so my boss - the one you never hear about b/c he's sane, capable of using MS Office, and not a freak - is running for judge in Cook County. He is a very competent, smart, efficient, and ethical lawyer, and I think his politics are agreeable. I will be voting for him. Check him out http://cleary for judge.com/ (remove spaces, obv.).

― La Lechera, Friday, 13 January 2012 21:50 (fourteen years ago)
I love you and I love your energy and enthusiasm but unless I can get that 3-11 flex time shift I keep asking for or start doing coke again, the odds of me ever going to a midnight dance party are slim.
― gonna give her the old fuquay-varina (Jenny), Friday, 13 January 2012 21:54 (fourteen years ago)
That party train left the station c 2003.
once in a while i can handle itnot all the time!
― La Lechera, Friday, 13 January 2012 21:54 (fourteen years ago)
i have learned that i can survive on much less sleep than i thought i neededHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH deal with it world
― La Lechera, Friday, 13 January 2012 21:55 (fourteen years ago)
Yeah, I don't need the full eight hours every night, I find. Just about five or six. When I get into real trouble is when I get two or three.
― cue "White Rabbit" (kenan), Friday, 13 January 2012 21:57 (fourteen years ago)
Yeah, A, after discussing with the missus, I think we are probably out for Sat. night as well.
― Bon Ivoj (jaymc), Friday, 13 January 2012 21:59 (fourteen years ago)
I got 7 solid hours last night. It was glorious.
― Jeff, Friday, 13 January 2012 22:01 (fourteen years ago)
yeah, 7 is my ideal8+ if i'm sick5-6 in a pinchless than that and i am likely to start crying at some point during the day
― La Lechera, Friday, 13 January 2012 22:06 (fourteen years ago)
I think I seriously need like 10 hours of sleep a night, which I obviously never get, thus me being tired all the time.
― the emancipation of distraction (askance johnson), Friday, 13 January 2012 22:24 (fourteen years ago)
I need to find out what's up with that sleep study. I really want to get surgery on my stupid head so I can sleep like I used to.
Amanda, I am not in. I'm actually not as dead set against dancing as I said. I hate it out of envy.
― Je55e, Friday, 13 January 2012 22:46 (fourteen years ago)
I'm out of the dance party too.
― Jeff, Friday, 13 January 2012 22:50 (fourteen years ago)
just saw today that some djs i know in new york have slots until 4:00 tonight, and i had a similar reaction to n/a (A.M.?! ARE YOU INSANE?). can't imagine having to play a 3 am set. i'm amazed that i can still play a gig and stay up until 1:30 or 2:00 now, given that i regularly go to bed around 11:00 and would sleep for well over 8 hours if i could.

It seems to me that the gays start nights out later and stay out later. This is based on experience in NC and the last few times I went out w/ some gay guys.
I like that in New Orleans there are dance clubs where the party keeps going strong until mid-morning some nights. I found myself in a foam party at 8 a.m. one time.
― Je55e, Friday, 13 January 2012 23:06 (fourteen years ago)
That's the stuff of nightmares.
― Jeff, Friday, 13 January 2012 23:14 (fourteen years ago)
Re: rent, is that for a 1 bdrm, 2?
― Jeff, Friday, 13 January 2012 23:17 (fourteen years ago)
^^^
I blame this on the fact that I have to get up so early. If I could sleep in until 9, I think I'd be more well rested.
― gonna give her the old fuquay-varina (Jenny), Friday, 13 January 2012 23:29 (fourteen years ago)
Just in case anybody thinks Jeff is a foodie, you should all know that at least once a week, we eat a frozen pepperoni pizza with canned mushrooms and olives on it for dinner.

The thing is. What is the thing? The...thing? Are you, are you, are you listening? Do you see? Do you...look: do you: will you: see?
― do you not like slouching? (Eazy), Saturday, 14 January 2012 18:37 (fourteen years ago)
Oops, nevermind.
WTF. Why is nevermind not one word? It certainly should be.
― Je55e, Saturday, 14 January 2012 18:42 (fourteen years ago)
Short for "never you mind."
― do you not like slouching? (Eazy), Saturday, 14 January 2012 18:44 (fourteen years ago)
Here's the thing Eric
― Je55e, Saturday, 14 January 2012 19:03 (fourteen years ago)
Is the "here's the thing" story common knowledge? If not, I'll tell you:
Years ago, Bagourtney, Jenny, and I were in the Ohio House diner eating breakfast after yoga. A few booths away there was a cop on a cell phone talking to a man named Terry. Terry was a tenant in the cop's rental hoe, and the cop was clearly not happy w/ Terry b/c Terry had numerous complaints. At first Terry seemed like the good guy because come on, angry cop landlord is not the most sympathetic type, but then it became apparent that Terry hadn't paid rent in many months and he probably sort of sucked at life.
The cop kept saying "Terry listen -- Terry you need to pay -- Terry -- Terry --" until he got fed up and said "Okay Terry, here's the thing: fuck you."

It was like found drama.

That's beautiful.
― do you not like slouching? (Eazy), Saturday, 14 January 2012 19:20 (fourteen years ago)
Hey, speaking of which, here's the thing: there's a Mamet play about lawyers opening at the Goodman this week. I've read the script, can't promise it will be great, but will at least have some good word nuggets.
― do you not like slouching? (Eazy), Saturday, 14 January 2012 19:22 (fourteen years ago)
(That said, there are cheap(er) previews this coming week--I would be up for going.)
― do you not like slouching? (Eazy), Saturday, 14 January 2012 19:27 (fourteen years ago)
Also, my friend Leigh, who saw Virginia Woolf and had dinner at Italian Village with us a few years ago, has her first novel out and will likely get famous.
― do you not like slouching? (Eazy), Saturday, 14 January 2012 19:33 (fourteen years ago)
(Us being me, Jesse, Jenny, Jeff maybe, and I don't remember who else.)
Terry was a tenant in the cop's rental hoe
― long duk dan (dan m), Saturday, 14 January 2012 19:42 (fourteen years ago)
Haha. My fucking M key has problems. I have sprayed it w/ air, but it's still sticking.
Re that play, I might want to see it? I mean, while I have come to think that Mamet might be a hack, I like his "word nuggets" as you say and I would like to see him put lawyers on stage. But what is deterring me is Mamet's unbearably stupid opinion pieces.

I went looking for a picture of Brenda on Flickr and I got sucked into a nostalgia hole.
Party at a friend's house in some dumb small town in NC, circa 2003.

I wonder who drove home? We were very good about not drunk driving.
As I said on an an email and IM: I am not dissing my current looks, but man, I used to be a cutie, but I thought I was weird looking and ugly. If I saw me then in a bar now I'd buy all the drinks me then could put in his sweet pink mouth.

And I'd shave his soul patch.
Courtney looking very pretty there, too. And Jeff looking "last known photo before campus massacre."
