The CTA bus system is absolutely worthless. Standing at the stop for the 97 near my house and nearly empty bus drives right past me. Apparently standing directly under a bus stop sign and waving both arms as the bus passes is code for, "no thanks, I'm good, just standing out here for the hell of it, please go on".

The sample size you're relying on is too small to reach the conclusion that the CTA bus system is worthless. But I totally feel b/c that happened to me once and it gave me the steaming, eye-bleeding rage.

Ha, yeah. I turn into Yosemite Sam and start cursing incoherently and jumping up and down and launching myself into the air by shooting my guns at the ground.

Oh yeah, I'm not at all serious that the entire system is worthless, but I was trying to let off steam without relying on the many four-letter words I wanted to shout. Just super annoying.

just saw today that some djs i know in new york have slots until 4:00 tonight, and i had a similar reaction to n/a (A.M.?! ARE YOU INSANE?). can't imagine having to play a 3 am set. i'm amazed that i can still play a gig and stay up until 1:30 or 2:00 now, given that i regularly go to bed around 11:00 and would sleep for well over 8 hours if i could.

It seems to me that the gays start nights out later and stay out later. This is based on experience in NC and the last few times I went out w/ some gay guys.

I like that in New Orleans there are dance clubs where the party keeps going strong until mid-morning some nights. I found myself in a foam party at 8 a.m. one time.

That's the stuff of nightmares.

I blame this on the fact that I have to get up so early. If I could sleep in until 9, I think I'd be more well rested.
