I had the best eggs benedict on NYD with the last of the friends in town. No corned beef hash though.

i made eggs, bacon and potatoes on NYD for me and my hungover houseguests, somehow

but i also went to ANIMAL the other night and whoa

do tell

two kinds of foie gras! hamachi tostada! balsamic pork ribs with grilled yellow squash that tasted like candy! grilled baby broccoli with crispy egg! sweetbreads! other things!

haha i had ANIMAL pinned as a night at the eagle or something

I am still recovering from Christmas, I think, at least emotionally. There were certainly good moments but some really upsetting things, too. Plus all of the usual holiday exhaustion and intoxication. A funeral on the 27th for a friend who had been murdered kinda capped it all off.

One good part is that my mom's side of the family is finally ready to meet D. -- he was extended an invite to 2 family functions, even -- but he's not quite ready for that. But it's progress!

so far, tentative plan for Alex meetup is Metropolitan around 8:30, if lou or ramz are in range.

which is like the Oprah book club of tea stores. i haven't been to a mall in like 7 years? i'd forgotten about them. they're pretty hilarious for about ten minutes.

No problem! Hope you feel better. I awkwardly introduced Morbz to my undergrad roommate who is from NYC and Katherine from The Singles Jukebox and we had a lovely and awkward but mostly lovely time. I think. I hope? I'm vaguely filled with social anxiety.

maracuja looks good. only place i can think of is northeast kingdom but it's further out on the L (right off the jefferson stop) and will be very crowded (though that's prob inevitable wherever we go).
