DeLonge and Winding Refn (darraghmac), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 21:37 (fourteen years ago)

tackling on bale all night didn't even pretend to be in the spirit of the game, cunts

1-0 finish

DeLonge and Winding Refn (darraghmac), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 21:42 (fourteen years ago)

srsly tho u don't usually get that from hodgson sides iirc? and west brom aren't notably violent or cloggy for epl also rans

jhøshea nrq (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 21:43 (fourteen years ago)

not usually, but it was most of what they had tonight

DeLonge and Winding Refn (darraghmac), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 21:45 (fourteen years ago)

sick burn from Kompany there

Number None, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 21:46 (fourteen years ago)

jhøshea nrq (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 21:48 (fourteen years ago)

king

DeLonge and Winding Refn (darraghmac), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 21:49 (fourteen years ago)

32 next season

great player but nearly done

jhøshea nrq (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 21:50 (fourteen years ago)

That was brutal. We were game enough, competed and created chances of sorts, but the gap in quality is enormous. it reminded me of every gang-of-plucky-brits-try-their-luck-against-clinical-serie-a-outfit humiliation from the 90s.

Also, the extent to which these guys go to (FBs apart, a bit) to avoid having to put in a cross, it's no wonder Carroll's not working out.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 21:53 (fourteen years ago)

I wonder if Steve Bruce still feels aggrieved?

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 21:54 (fourteen years ago)

even more so

Number None, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 21:55 (fourteen years ago)

i dont think they had any angles to get to £35m, citeh's fullbacks kept liverpool's wingers from hitting the byline and dms dropped back to crowd the box

jhøshea nrq (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 21:55 (fourteen years ago)

yeah but Downing

Number None, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 21:58 (fourteen years ago)

0 goals 0 assists iirc

jhøshea nrq (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 21:59 (fourteen years ago)

but after reading all 115 pages, I'm still none the wiser

probably can't help you then, Chris

wrong choice of words perhaps, but basically this:

Chris, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 22:30 (fourteen years ago)

oh no you didn't

Number None, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 22:32 (fourteen years ago)

have suarez, dalglish or any other representative of LFC denied that suarez called evra 'negro'

DeLonge and Winding Refn (darraghmac), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 22:34 (fourteen years ago)

i'm just wondering

DeLonge and Winding Refn (darraghmac), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 22:34 (fourteen years ago)

However, on Suarez own account, the word “negro” had been used once by this point. According to Suarez, this is where Evra said don’t touch me “south American” and Suarez replied “porque negro”.

Commission: Even though PE did not allege “negro” said at this point, Commission decide it was said. LS did allege “negro” said at this point, Commission say he is lying about the sentence used, but decide “negro” said at this point. Furthermore, the Commission base this finding on fact that PE’s face registered “surprise” at this point.

emphasis mine

i mean ffs- the commission decided suarez said what he said he said? the bastards!

DeLonge and Winding Refn (darraghmac), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 22:36 (fourteen years ago)

it would be good if there was some independent investigation into the incident tbh, you'd think this could have been organised by now

DeLonge and Winding Refn (darraghmac), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 22:38 (fourteen years ago)

gif of Reina failing to kick the ball in his net after he let the soft goal in pls.

Sugary pee is not normal (aldo), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 22:40 (fourteen years ago)

check fouls/cards stats

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/match/2012/jan/03/tottenham-hotspur-v-westbrom

and i'm not kidding about halsey letting them away with maybe 3-4 other yellow card cheapshot tackles on bale alone- i think 3 of the 5 cards were for late tackles or tackles from behind on bale

DeLonge and Winding Refn (darraghmac), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 22:42 (fourteen years ago)

maybe a manager should be called to answer a few questions about stats like that

DeLonge and Winding Refn (darraghmac), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 22:43 (fourteen years ago)

He obviously didn't get the memo about Spurs being a big club now

Number None, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 22:44 (fourteen years ago)

never really thought about the duties of a ref in priority order, but 'protection of footballers from thugs' would be #1 in my putative list tbph

heh

they have a good team

they are not a club

jhøshea nrq (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 23:04 (fourteen years ago)

not a ~big~ club

jhøshea nrq (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 23:04 (fourteen years ago)

never claimed the distinction, wouldn't want it

DeLonge and Winding Refn (darraghmac), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 23:15 (fourteen years ago)

small club mentality

Number None, Tuesday, 3 January 2012 23:17 (fourteen years ago)

small clubs w/ comparably sized mentalities can still prosper when the bigs are losing to craig gardner and paul robinson (gk, 240lbs)

jhøshea nrq (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 23:19 (fourteen years ago)

also i don't want to be cap'n-churl-a-deems but 'refn' doesn't sound anything like 'road'

jhøshea nrq (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 3 January 2012 23:20 (fourteen years ago)

it doesn't have to, imo, to make it work

DeLonge and Winding Refn (darraghmac), Wednesday, 4 January 2012 00:06 (fourteen years ago)

damn u blowing minds like refn main

jhøshea nrq (nakhchivan), Wednesday, 4 January 2012 00:15 (fourteen years ago)

Every bit as bad was the moment in the report when we learn that Damien Comolli, the club's director of football, and Dirk Kuyt, the Liverpool midfielder, changed their statements after realising that Suárez had given a different account to them. It is cringeworthy reading Kuyt's attempt to deal with this discrepancy in his witness statement. "I am aware that LS will state in evidence that what he actually said in response to the remark from PE was (translated into English) "Why, black?" or "Why, negro?" and I am perfectly happy to accept that this is what he said. I may have misunderstood what he was saying or perhaps sought to interpret what he was saying as what I thought LS might have said when, in fact, it was not what he said."

it'll be cool, liverpool fans will prove Suarez is innocent by their immaculate conduct and refusal to bait Evra
