According to "Troy and Abed" on Facebook, 12 episodes are set to air.

yeah they were ALWAYS shooting and planning to era the full order of Season 3, and it was always going to be probably returning in the spring, but people freaked out like it was going to get pushed to the summer or aired on Bravo or something because i guess they think Are You There, Chelsea? is going to be a ratings phenomenon. too early to say about it being back in the fall because it's too early to say that about most shows, including 30 Rock.

having seen all of season 1 now, I would have been on this show's bandwagon so much earlier had I seen "Social Psychology", "Interpretive Dance", "Physical Education" and "The Science of Illusion" when they aired

a tv dude on twitter was saying that nbc's "the firm" bombed so badly on its first airing that it's probably kaput, which means the thursday @ 10 hour will be open. bring back the thursday three-hour comedy bloc, nbc!!

also tomorrow we'll see how the chelsea/whitney comedy hour fares in the ratings

NBC is so dumb right now in general, I don't know why they thought The Firm would work as a series in 2012.

I literally cannot wait for the blanket fort civil war episode.

i half-watched The Firm and mostly just felt bad for Molly Parker

kinda hate that there's all this advance discussion & anticipation of the premises/concepts of upcoming episodes -- one of my favorite things about the first paintball episode or the My Dinner With Andre episode is that i had NO idea about them ahead of time, was a lot more exciting that way imo

too much hype kind of dampened the fun of paintball 2 for me.

well that was a 'sequel' so it's not like there even could've been much element of surprise (although i'm glad i didn't know in advance about the star wars theme of the 2nd half, since they did it better than i would've expected)

Me too. I had no idea about the Goodfellas homage until the freeze-frame and "As long as I can remember, I always wanted to be in a mafia movie." My first thought was, crap, a Family Guy-esque throwaway joke/non-sequitur. But they went full-Layla on that shit, and if I'd known about it ahead of time, it wouldn't have been half as fun.

According to the DVD commentary, a substantial portion of that season's funding was spent on the rights to "Layla." Worth it.

ratings horserace stuff: whitney/chelsea got decent-for-nbc ratings on wednesday, which, vomit. however, 30 rock, in community's old time slot, basically got community ratings (maybe a fraction higher), so there's some vindication that the nbc 8:00 time slot is poison.

the firm got even more hilariously low ratings after they moved it to thursday @ 10, so that might be yanked pretty quick here.

iirc, Community is still on its regular shooting schedule, so it's not inconceivable that a quick, Firm yank could result in, "You asked for it, America! Community's back sooner than expected!"
